Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

...Ayeka? Fans? Uh... no. There aren't any.

Good luck with that, though.

What? Hard to believe that an anime fan has enough class to appreciate an awesome in-depth character like Ayeka, who is not only classy but intelligent?

Unlike many female anime characters, she isn't made to appeal to male fans, and gasp she has a personality! BTW, character debates belong in the general discussion so I'm not going to get into it, so can you discuss my video and not troll, hmm?

If people were trolling, you'd know it. Just be glad you haven't met godix yet.

As for the video, I was intimately acquainted with the song (it's on the soundtrack of a Disney movie I've seen several times), and it was far more dynamic than your editing. Quality wasn't bad, but it certainly could have been better. Most A*Teens songs have several layers, and your editing barely reflected the top layer, and didn't do anything with the synthesized beats at all. You had lip flap all over the place and other than a general collection of lovey-dovey type scenes, you had no lyrical synch to speak of. Nothing specific at any rate. You could have gotten away with that if you had beat sync, but between the lack of internal sync and external sync, the excessive lip flap, and poorly chosen cuts, I felt as though I was watching a slide show, not an amv.

I don't mean to be cruelly harsh, but it would be wise to go back to the project files on this one. You need to story board first. Think of what you want to say and how that needs to be said. Since the song IS so aurally dynamic, you have plenty of ways to move the video along. Still, from a intertextual viewpoints, you are going against the flow here, no matter what you feel about the characters. Afterall:
Spoiler :
Ryoko wins.

Thanks for the feedback, I appreciate it, but no I'm not going to return to the project file. But your advice will come in handy next time.
Whoever 'won' as you stated isn't the freaking point. It's about Ayeka falling in love dee dee dee

I've met him, nice guy. A lot less harsher than you are. :P

Actually, it is an important point. Just as important as your footage quality or your sync. Why? Because you need to understand the context with which your viewers will be watching your video. You need to construct a pattern that shows powerfully how Ayeka feels.

Doesn't sound like the godix I know. And I am trying to offer genuine criticism, neither trolling nor a pat on the back.
