  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I found a better sounding Mp3 of the song, so the audio has been fixed, I would have tried to fix the video quality as well, but I haven't had much time to do that. (Ive been busy getting ready for the Anime Expo! ^^) But at least the audio is MUCH better now. (I even listened to the song with 3 different sets of headphones just to be sure: my old (but out-lived-the-rest) Sony headphones, my iPod ones, and even my Hello Kitty ones (yes, I have Hello Kitty headphones :P)
ngsilver wrote:As a SM fan I've seen many of these kinds of videos, and well, I rather liked this one. I wont hit on the points already brought up, but one suggestion about your audio if you don't already know is to convert your mp3 into wav. Often times I find that will clear up crackling in the audio. As a rule of thumb, you shouldn't be editing with MP3s anyway.

I look forward to more from you ^^
I can do that (convert mp3 into .wav), I never tired it before, but I know I can do it with iMovie, so I'll keep that in mind for next time for when I can't find a better audio file of something.
I'm glad you like my AMV! I do plan on making more Sailor Moon AMVs (as well as AMVs for other series) in the future.

If you have any suggestions on where to find uncut DVDs I'd love to hear them.

Well, theres always amazon.com and ebay and other places that sell used DVDs, but other than that I really don't know. I bought all of my DVDs while they where still making them years ago.

Might I suggest possibly the Japanese re-release? I heard from the grape-vine that they actually cleaned the footage up and everything when they brought it out to DVD.

If that's directed at me, I'm looking for the series mainly to watch, not for footage. I can live with the quality issues, if I could only get my hands on legit R1 DVDs.

I heard about that too, the only problem is that I don't have a R2 DVD player.

Unless, DVDs from any region will play/rip in any computer, then hell, I would go out and buy them in a heartbeat when I get the money (SM R or Sailor StarS at least sense I don't have either(well, I do have dubbed eps of R but not in japanese), as well as the DVDs for Mon Colle Knights (aka Rokumon Tengai Mon Colle Knight in Japan).
So will DVDs from any region play on any computer with a DVD player? or do you have to install a special program or something to be able to watch them?

The ADV and Pioneer/Geneon sets still pop up on eBay occasionally.

They're typically expensive though, since they're getting incredibly rare. I got S for a mere $40 though.

You just have to keep an eye out.

I believe standard operation of DVD drives is that you can change the region on them up to 3 times I believe. This is because when drives are made they don't necessarily know which region they will be shipped in. However, this can be gotten around with software. Other then that, they will play/rip using the same programs you would normally use. So essentially you can play/rip any region DVD with a fair amount of ease.
