- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

Berserk AMV (DragonForce)
This is the first AMV I've made (successfully completed, anyway), and I'd really appreciate some feedback/criticism for the sake of making future AMVs better =)

wow.. a first vid and..
an avi xvid encode with compressed audio!!!!
I was expecting a sucky low quality wmv xD SO lots of props for the encode.
..about the actual Video..I thought it could have been synched better. Dragonforce has crazy ass beats and you simply ignored most of them. I'd have expected a synchfest from a vid with a dragonforce song. Despite that I still enjoyed your Video..I can't even really believe it because it's an Berserk vid..and..I think berserk sucks, lol. Though I found ur vid had a rather good Overall Flow and it was definitally pretty good for a first try

That's a fair assessment. I think I intended the editing to be more frantic than it turned out, but in some places there just wasn't enough footage for it (I used almost every shot from some of the battles) and in other places I was just lazy, wanting to get the verses done already once I'd finished the choruses and solo. Overall, I think it was just a harder challenge than I'm really up to. DragonForce songs are long and very fast-paced and have crazy beats that suggest there should be constant cutting, which combines to require a lot of footage and patience. If I attempt another AMV set to their music I'll either mix several series together or use a series much, much longer.

Although seeing as everyone here seems to be moving towards mp4 I might look into that.
