  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

i don't have the time, otherwise i would love to, (as long as you don't take it personally and actually learn from it). I was just posting saying i disagreed with his opinion of a 5 out of 5. The video isn't amazing or "well done" or incredible like kyle said and the ppl on you-tube were saying. from my experience, it's no where near 5, sorry. i think disagreeing with those ppl is helpful enough. I do have some time before work, so i will say a few thigns i guess...

Two main problems, 1) the video feels random. While watching it, it just looks like i'm looking at clips from the show with no real connect to the music other then you match the lyrics here and there. 2) there is no flow or rhythm to your editing. The video feels boring. Again, it feels random. It doesn't seem like you are syncing but just laying down clips that look "Good" and not paying attention to the music (other then the lyrics of course).

The video would be much better if the cuts followed some kind of rhythm.

np... i have noticed though that people (atleast most) around here don't take too kindly to new AMV makers. <.<

That isn't the case at all. But it's called honesty. Something you won't catch around you-tube.

Nerdstrudel got served. :D

I agree with Pwolf about the video feeling random. Even first amvs don't really have an excuse for that - Have a good idea before you start and actually try to make it follow the rhythm instead of just throwing in scenes that "look good".

gotta agree with what most've said: seems random, no link to the song, no coherence whatsoever. First time is no excuse.

2/5 at best.

mmm, i disagree... if you're making it for your own enjoyment, then as long as you like what you've made, thats plenty.

Well, it's not overly horrid. But hey we all have to start somewhere right? I will have to agree with Pwolf on this one and Head Hunter. I do give it a 2/5 but due to just a few other reasons as well.

I mean I'm not the best flowing type amv due to the fact my amv's are not flowy at all and very blunt.

I might as well just make an opinion but I'm a little lazy there.

Anyway first off, I see no subs in this at all. Which would be a plus, most first time amv creators have subs in their amvs. And uh it's a little flowly?

But you have to work on a few things, the video was cut off. Bad Aspect Ratio?
Also a lot of the scenes weren't cut correctly, they had milliseconds of other scenes before it went to the main scene you were trying to get to. That is what was a little annoying about it. There was a lot of scenes where I was trying to make the connection between the scene and music, it didn't work at all. I wasn't really sure about the theme as well, it might have worked in your perspective but if your making it to show you have to be more broad on that.

Post by eva01reborn » Wed Aug 15, 2007 12:21 am

you know im really not trying to take the constructive crticism too harsh but when evryone's saying that the 1st time is no excuse for it being so bad. I mean I believe there was a time wen everyone was starting out and there AMV's were so-so/bad...so how's about cutting me some slack cause I know just as you all did when you were making your first that a year from now you AMV's would be 10 times better.I thought this was a friendly community...
