Vastly Touched an Ergo Proxy Experience ^^
Ok so here is my darkest character profile/romance witha hint of action vid to date....actually its my first real attempt at creating my own story. I used scenes from Ergo proxys first and last disc. For the most part I didnt deviate too much from the main storyline Of RE-L and Vincent...in the show I never got the sense that she was longing for the old vincent by the end but I thought I would portray that in my vid. The song is Touched and is performed by Vast.
I went with the song because after vincent/proxy crashed into her life he touched her in a very spirtiual unerving way. I thought the song was sort of creepy and fit very very well with the story I was going to tell. It was to be about how unerved she was that he threw her entire "perfect" world on its head...almost a bit angry with him yet she still comes to realize that in the end the Vincent she first met is never to be seen again.
At any rate enjoy and do feel free to comment and push this video out there for others to see as I think anyone that watched Ergo Proxy will enjoy it.

better than i was expecting, but still pretty weak.
could have used alot more sync, and alot less white flashes. also, ergo proxy is 16:9 aspect ratio.

Aspect ratio disagreement? I believe it's Kio time.
Getting, will edit with what the output aspect ratio is.
EDIT1: Dear God. 95.7MB for a DX50 encode... Oh wait, PCM Audio? You didn't compress did you. According to local (still downloading) your resolution is 640x464. That is neither 4:3 (640x480) nor 16:9 (848x480, 640x360). And unless you flagged it (is flagging allowed by DX50? I don't think it is), I'm pretty sure this is going to look a lot more like 4:3 than it will look like 16:9, but we'll see.
EDIT2: Your aspect ratio is between 4:3 and 16:9. It is neither 16:9 letterboxed, nor 16:9 by itself. In fact, with the height of the letterboxing you have now, the proper aspect ratio for your composition is 16:10, and that would mean that your video would be 16:9 letterboxed.
You do not need the letterboxing, and you do not need a resolution of 16:10 even if you did, since it isn't standard, and it's going to piss off anyone without a 16:10 monitor, especially when a 16:9 presentation would be letterboxed upon fullscreening anyhow. I suggest, if your editor is producing the letterboxing, and you cannot figure out how to remove it and set the editor itself to producing native 16:9, export out in a lossless codec, drop it into VDubMod, set resize to 848x480 Lanczos3, then configure/crop inside of the resize filter so that you eliminate the letterboxing. You should then have a 848x480 video you can encode into a lossy codec like h264 or xvid.
And please, COMPRESS YOUR AUDIO.
Good luck, have a nice day.

Actually I can see this song X anime pairing fitting quite well together.
good idea but falls down on points already mentioned.
Second V.A.S.T. video out atm this just reminds me that they are a good band and i should invest in the ntsc version of ergo proxy and skip the PAL release
