Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Unless you have uploaded another version besides the "corrected" one, then no it does not. My response here refers to the second version.
...

I can't fix it without having to remake the whole thing which I don't have time to do...What should I do?

Forget it and make sure your next Video has the right AR :O
Or use avs vdub and stuff like that
I haven't watched your Video so I can't say any specific things about your AR

You don't have time? What? Are you on some sort of deadline?

If it were me, I would go back to the project files, find out the proper AR for each clip, make them match, then render out a final version in 16:9 at 848x480.

Alternately, if I really felt like not expending that much effort (which really isn't that great, honestly), then I would at least place a LOSSLESS render into VirtualDubMod, and resize to a 16:10 resolution, let's say, 640x390, then crop the bottom by 15, and the top by 15, so you have a 16:9 640x360 video that looks maybe 90% correct.

But considering you seem to be in some sort of rush, your mileage may vary. :?

O_O?! I'll give that a try when I time. The only problem is that I can't see if it's working or not on my computer so I see it as extra hassle in a sense. But either way, as long as the AMV's timing and effects actually work to some extent, it'll be fine in my books. Just means the Aspect Ratio will annoy you a bit, lol.

And in terms of rush, yes. I've got other things to do (such as writing a fanfic which I have finish before the end of this year or it'll never be finish), watch a lot of anime to make AMV's out of and, well, school/social life. It may not sound a lot, but it is if you knew what I do everyday. Plus, I want to just leave Gundam behind cause it annoys me a bit now when I just see just a set of AMV's of one series on my profile. But generally, I just want to get it over with cause I'm "behind" in my own mind in terms of everything planned and this was one thing that caused that.

I know it sounds lazy for an AMV maker to just leave their work unfinished, but I'm happy to do it if the main AMV works fine. I'll just remaster it another time (which probably won't happen as I'm just fed with the series to be honest, lol).

Forget everything I just said above. I've fixed it now (thanks Kionon, you were right; it wouldn't take me much effort to fix).

Better quality and better aspect ratio (I hope). Everything should be working ok and if it isn't, well; I'm just leaving it like that. But tell me anyway if something's wrong with it so I can make a note of it in the description.

Thanks.

Quality is better, and you solved the problem if internal inconsistency, however, your output is still between aspect ratios. Let me demonstrate:

This is what is does look like:

This is what it should look like:

I wonder if your editor is telling you its flagging the aspect ratio, but then you're exporting out into AVI and so it fails to keep the flagging. I mean, your resolution is 720x480, which is fine for flagged material, but this isn't flagged. That's why you need a resolution like 848x480, 704x400, 640x360, because you can't flag AVI (at least I don't think you can). You still need to LanczosResize this to one of those resolutions for it to be 16:9.

Either way, I'm just going to give up for a while. Thanks for all your help and if I have time in the future, I'll try and improve it.
