Thanks Arash, at least it wasn't a total loss. Still, I value everyone's opinion, even if they are "of the tube". lol.ArashinomeAMV wrote: It doesn't suck, from what I can see, those who said it did, are of the tube, and thus their opinions are nulled. Don't sweat it, man'

Long does not always equal boring. I was going for something a little slower and more dramatic. Still, if it's so boring it's painful I guess it doesn't matter what I was trying to do.Kevmaster wrote:I couldn't watch it all.
It was just plain boring. In an iron Chef match I can only suggest you to go for quality over quantity. A shorter Good Video worths much more than a long boring one.
2/10
I see your point though that IC vids should be kept short and sweet. This was my first one and I wasn't sure what would do well. Live and learn, I guess.

Sorry to say it, but much like the anime, this video was pretty disappointing. Hooray for going more with the story arcs, because those are always less numerous than random action videos with anime like this. However, your beat sync often left a lot to be desired, and even moreso, this is a very dramatic song, while your video is very... NOT dramatic. Within Temptation makes relatively dynamic music stylistically, so keep an ear on that if you find yourself editing to one of their songs again - or any band that might sound similar, of course.
Anyway, it was okay, but I wouldn't watch it again.

So you didn't even know? You swindled me! j/kAutraya wrote:Actually when we had that "stratedgy" convo I didn't know what viney's source was at all, I was expecting something like "air" or "ef" from him tho, since the bugger seems to get all the new shiney stuff
Thanks for the constructive criticism. I appreciate it. Yeah I decided after my last solo vid that I would concentrate on story-driven stuff as I found I liked doing that better...makes it feel like the video actually has a point (imagine that). Still, like I said, this was an IC video which means the song was chosen for me and I had to come up with the concept in about 10 minutes...not ideal conditions for a story-driven AMV. If I had to do it over again, I think I would've done random action on this one just to win the match. Anyway, thanks again!dj_ultima_the_great wrote: Sorry to say it, but much like the anime, this video was pretty disappointing. Copycat! Been a while! Yeah sorry. I actually meant to put out some more stuff last year but I kept procrastinating and, ultimately, canned the project. Don't worry though, I am working on something pretty big right now and hopefully it'll be out in the next month or so. In the meantime, I haven't really kept up with what you've been doing. I'll have to check out your new stuff when I get home. Thanks for dling!Copycat_Revolver wrote: Geez, Maximoff, where have you been?
I actually didn't hate this. And I liked it more the second time I watched it. Although I only saw the IC, so I'll download this version and give proper feedback.
Now go edit something.
