Bleach no Hana
Hi
Recently, I've been told a lot that most of my amvs (openings) have had no effort and were just a 'dry-cut-and-paste'. Although this is partially true, I would like to state that I did put some effort in timing and slightly extending the scenes to match the music (although this is nothing new to most amv makers). Those were all probably a learning experience for me to create this opening in which I have tried to fix my previous mistakes and make a well edited and possibliy better amv-opening (alternate opening). I can't get enough of this song and everyone loves Bleach. Tell me if you think its better than my previous alternate opeings.

Although what you said is correct, in this case I think you misunderstood my comment. If you've seen this amv you will notice that it is an alternate opening (an opening I customly made from the original openings) of Bleach. I'm assuming the comment you made applies to amvs made with some plot or story, where as this amv is an opening made to match the lyrics of the song. But your darn right about how to start an amv as it can possibily put-on or put-off the viewer depending on how you started it. Thanks for the comment.Blackwood wrote:I think the opening is the hardest part of an amv, actually. It sets the tone for the rest of it, so I always have trouble with that. But, once I get an opening that I'm happy with, the rest of it sort of falls into place. More or less.

*Video quality was horrible. I suggest higher quality footage.
*Using scenes only from the Bleach openings really hurt the video. I know you were attempting to make another Bleach opening, but still a little orignal scenes here and there wouldn't hurt it.
*Sync wasn't horrible. It just needed fine tuning. The editing and the flow of the song didn't match hardly at all during the entire video (semi-fast song, slow fading editing).
*A lot of the scenes really didn't fit into the whole AMV. They looked like they were just dropped in from the scene bin.

Kinda agree with Chrono, althought I do praise you on using raws instead of subtitles like so many but for mostly using one opening the "alones" version, it could have been better if you added more openings, like this one and some effects are not that good to use ie. threshold and color changer* changer can still be used at appropriate times, threshold messes up quality, i gave it a 3/5 for effort.

Thanks for the critism, was the video quality really that horrible, I though it was better than most of my work (oh well I'll try harder). With the scenes, I was more focused on trying to match the lyrics that I probably didn't put a great deal of effort in considering the fast and slow pace of the song. About the lack of originality, honestly I probably didn't really considered it, beacuse I was trying to make an opening (sorry I'll be more original next time). Finally, I'm going to consider this as a declaration of war and I'm not going to give up until I force CodeChrono to give me a better score (Be Prepared for better AMVs). Anyway Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks for trying to cheer me up, I know that I probably monopolized the 'alones' version, but it was the one with most of the scenes that fitted the lyrics. Your right about the 'no good' effects, I'm horrible with effects and I wanted to use something besides the fades , but that no excuse for someone whose trying to compete for better amvs. By the way thanks for pointing out the raws as no one really appriciated that and thanks for the 3/5 for the effort. I'll try my best to get better.Wolfy2hk wrote:Kinda agree with Chrono, althought I do praise you on using raws instead of subtitles like so many but for mostly using one opening the "alones" version, it could have been better if you added more openings, like this one and some effects are not that good to use ie. threshold and color changer* changer can still be used at appropriate times, threshold messes up quality, i gave it a 3/5 for effort.
