  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Municipal FARCE Daitenzen, an Excel Saga AMV

Post by thundercatlord » Sat Apr 12, 2008 12:46 pm

Hey everyone, just finished a new AMV.

This idea came after I had finished my "Excel in Concert" AMV. Excel Saga parodies everything...including the Japanese counterparts to Power Rangers--Super Sentai. In Excel Saga there is a Sentai group for about three episodes or so. The team is called Municipal Force Daitenzen, so I decided to make a fake opening credits sequence and parody Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, and call it "Power Rangers: Municipal FARCE" I tried to make it look like the season two opening credits of MMPR. Enjoy, my sick and twisted idea!

LOL!

That was great, I've seen this idea done before, but yours is by far the best. Awesome! I loved the custom PR logo you made, it made the video feel like it was a real show.

Thank you!

It started out as a simple project then turned into something more time consuming... I'm very pleased with how it turned out. :D

Anyone else?

By the way you should send this into conventions. The audience would get a kick out of it

^^ I thought it was done well technically, and I liked the stupid footage you selected and the little extras you put in.

Uhh... trying to think of suggestions... um... OK, there was a black border around the thing... which either means your project settings didn't match the source footage dimensions or you exported in a format with an aspect ratio that didn't match the source footage...
...and I was surprised you put Excel in it, because she's not one of them, right? (around 0.23)

Enjoyed it! ^^

I sent it to Anime Central, which is ironic since there are going to be several Power Rangers actors there

It was my settings :( I made a boo boo there. And Excel was technically one of the villians in my vid.
