Melancholy (Haruhi x The Fray)

Post by NixenCraft » Wed Feb 11, 2009 6:10 pm

Hi guys,

Here's my first AMV ever.

The idea for this AMV came from the fact that it's rare to find a good Sentimental/Melancholy-ish AMV about the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya so I decided to chuck all the emo bits from the anime into an AMV.

Over time, I realized that the AMV goes through the relationship Kyon has with various brigade members, namely Yuki, Mikuru and Haruhi.

I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I did making it =)!~

Do let me know what you think :D! I wanna know if I'm on the right track and what I need to improve on for my next AMV ^_^

Yo Jon, glad to see you finally do a vid, it's a very good effort for a first vid and definitely better than some of the other local entries at other cons over here, keep it coming =) I'll leave an op later and see you at AniCu again sometime =O

Hi vincent ^_^! Thanks for that :D... I'm working on my next AMV (this time with a bit more planning). Hopefully I'll be able to send one in for Wai-Con next year :D

I love emo amv's :D

/gets |:>

It would have been better if the fight with the giant insect alian wouldn't be in your amv :s It didn't really fit in my opinion, because the lyrics was completley different from what i was seeing on the screen. I liked the beginning and the end though. This could have been better with a little more work.

Nethertheless nice try ^^

Hi Nunchuck,

Thanks for your comment =)!

I do understand where you're coming from, and I do try my best to fit the lyrics in with what's on the screen, but at the end of the day, when you're working with Haruhi and the Fray (two very different sources), it's hard to match everything together 100%. The giant cricket scene served as a momentum builder towards the chorus.

Having said that, I agree that it's probably not the best scene to use.

Thanks again ^_^
