Video: Tokyo-3 Community Theatre presents: Pink Floyd's 'The Wall'
Category: Somewhere between Drama and Parody
Anime: Neon Genesis Evangelion (Series & Movies)
Song: The Trial
Artist: Pink Floyd
Creator: ArmagedDan
The cast of Evangelion plays out the roles from the grand finale of The Wall, Pink Floyd's two-disc magnum opus.
I made this one for fun after completing my previous Eva/Floyd video. This is my heaviest use of voice sync, that being kind of the point of the entire vid.
HOWEVER, note that this was my last video made in Windows Movie Maker. (Never going back). It was a nightmare getting a project with this number of clips, effects and transitions to export. In the end, I had to accept dropped frames and a few other problems, so I am painfully aware that the voice sync isn't perfect in one or two spots. I did my best to correct this, but you may notice it being off by a split second in places.
Nevertheless, I like the way it came out, enjoy!

The Lip Sync was HORRID. This would have been a nice video with decent lip sync, but I couldnt even finish watching because it was going on my nerves.

the lip sync is pretty good considering it's done in wmm.
serv0's take on this is better, but it was still a fun watch.

This worked a lot better than I expected. The lipsync just plain sucked and it wasn't all WMM fault. A lot of the transitions you did during lipsync were too jarring as well. However the lyric sync was pretty decent and the theme of The Wall and Eva match well. Wasn't worth keeping, but I actually did watch the entire vid which is rather rare for me anymore. Probably helps that The Wall ranks as one of my favorite albums ever.

I think this video
did it much better. Tho honestly I have issues with both of them. This is probably my absolute favorite song from Pink Floyd and I think the idea works really well but as far as execution goes nobody has done it perfectly yet. I liked Serv0's attempt a lot tho. This one, not so much S:
Kudos for having good taste in any case.

I appreciate the opinions, thanks for taking the time to respond. As I said, I knew I was gonna take some lumps over the lipsync. But as I further said, this was a for-fun project, and it DID teach me a valuable lesson - to abandon WMM forever. If I had done this in Vegas I'm quite sure it would have been a smoother ride.
Until next time.
