  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Easy people, I think there's no need to be offensive. I think this is quite in the spirit of RoS, and I think people have always misinterpreted RoS as being some big pretentious innercirclewank, whereas it's really just a bunch of editing friends getting together and letting loose. Hype unfortunately tends to attract negativity.

And I gotta say I really dug Prod's track. You have to do more editing along those same lines man, that was pretty killer.

I liked it. It didn't blow me away ... and I sort of got annoyed with it after I saw it for the umpteenth time at ACEN but it was alright.

But I could tell you guys had fun making it. And that's always cool.

I didn't like it. I feel that an action video needs a lot more intensity and energy than what this MEP brought. The credits were simple, but well done and suitable so I liked them. The enzyme thing, while done well, I dont think it's entirely suitable to start off an action mep with something like that.

[removed rant; I think I had a good point, but really, who cares?]

Yeah Ingow, French are the best!!! (Just kidding)

I like it but it's not really a re-watchable video.
Fun moment but nothing that makes me want to watch it again ^^

RE: Source Selection

Jay (paraphrased): Hey, since the ladies are making an all-girls MEP lets make a quick, male-oriented, action video. I already have the song picked out. When you are selecting your source try to pick an anime focusing on male character(s) that has silly action.

Me: First things to come to mind are Memories: Stink Bomb, Mind Game, and TTGL. Haven't seen and don't have the last one and I've always been disappointed that an anime like Mind Game has been used so little in AMVs (Only 10 videos now that this is released). I'll use Mind Game.

I can't speak for everyone in the project, but that was my general thought process. It fit the theme, so I went with it. Jay approached everyone else in the project with the same premise and they chose their sources accordingly. If there was any attempt to imitate another project, it was limited to the previous ROS projects and the same-gender aspect of ROStrogen.
