Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Re: ALL FOR USAGI
By the time I get around to this, it's already off the first page.
I love this song, and let's face it, as a holder of both a Luna Pin and an Arty Pin, (and someone who spent two weeks in Tokyo last Christmas just going to Sailor Moon sites) and one of the hallowed names upon the Pink List, it isn't hard to know I like a good Sailor Moon video.
The concept here was excellent. The execution, not so much. You relied far too much on lyric sync in the beginning, totally ignoring excellent opportunities for aural sync, and while you had some very strong literal lyric sync, you often missed a lot of lyric sync as well. By the end of the video, it had turned very much into a slideshow of repeated footage and I frankly saw no development whatsoever.
This had the potential to be an old school vid to a classic anime with a great song. It had the potential to be everything I love about anime music videos and harken back to a time where videos like what this could have been lead me to edit in the first place. Unfortunately, you let that potential die within the first minute. It left me sad, unfulfilled, and frankly, dying to reedit the entire thing just so I could enjoy the concept.

This is a nice amv that has a great concept, but I have to agree with Kionon. It had a lot of potential, but the execution was a bit off. I give it a 3.6/5

Re: ALL FOR USAGI
In fact Pink Haze just reported that all of "his" videos have been stolen from different editors. This goes beyond not cool into a coordinated attempt to build a fake editing history.
It is quite a betrayal after those of us in #amv gave you criticism and commentary to help you improve, considering you can't improve when you're not even really doing the work. For shame.

At first I thought you were just pointing out that the video had already been done...but, thats the same exact video!Vivaldi wrote:

I can't believe someone would do this...Its already sad enough that we sit around editing anime, but to steal an AMV and pretend its yours, is so pathetic and sad...

Correction: not 'all' of them. I reported exactly three.Kionon wrote:In fact Pink Haze just reported that all of "his" videos have been stolen from different editors. This goes beyond not cool into a coordinated attempt to build a fake editing history.
I noticed because I liked that All For Usagi video, and kept it on my computer when I DLed it a few months ago.
