- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

Ok, this was fun.
Lip-sync wasn't perfect, some effects were ... well, so-so but still I could enjoy the whole AMV

Yay, I've entertained!
just for future study, did you find all the lip-synching odd or was it just some parts? If just parts, then around what areas did you find the lip-synch to be imperfect.
I admit my effect skills aren't too great. oh, well. Practice, practice, practice.

I wouldn't go as far as "the whole lip-sync is bad or odd" thing but there are mainly problems with your timing when the character starts or stops moving his lips. For example the 38-39s. The thing is Yakko (lol, its been years since I last saw Animaniacs so not sure if Yakko is singing) is still singing and you just suddenly pause the lip-sync (like in the 40sec). Another moment is where you suddenly stop lip-synching is 1min 18s. Of course you don't need to lipsync everything but you just leave the character hanging there.scudgreen wrote:Yay, I've entertained!![]()

A huge plus is that the expression of the character really suits lyrics and the way Yakko is singing.
The most painful thing was the masking you did. I know it's hard and boring to do but when you decide to go with it you need to grit your teeth and just accept your gonna spend hours on it. Some transitions you did were cool stuff though.

Re: How Big is the Universe?
I like the song. I like the anime/song pairing. The video itself? Using lipsync at all is kinda questionable, but if you must do lipsync why do it badly? I suspect you used every cheesy default transition your editing program had. The masking couldn't have been worse if you just used an 8 point garbage matte. The credit sequence, which was about 1/4 the entire damned video, was a total and complete waste of time. After a minute or so I actually just closed my eyes and just listening to the song. This is the type of video that makes me understand the fears that someone might just rip the audio and ditch the video, thus contributing to song piracy. I actually would consider doing that myself except I own the Animaniacs CD already.
But still, nice concept. Hopefully someday you can figure out how to execute your ideas decently.
