Unfortunately, you haven't uploaded your video to the site yet, as Sennin has said.
It looks like you already know how, judging from your other amvs. So...? :P
EDIT: Oh, I see. Nvm.

edit2:
First thought is that the quality isn't as good as it could be. I watched it in 480p, and there was odd blocking on the edges. It might be because you might have just uploaded it to yt and it's still being processed or something. And while I'm not really one to lecture people about it because I'm not very picky on quality, it definitely isn't from a dvd.
I'm also not an expert on ARs, and I'm a fool when I talk about it, but I believe 5cm is 16:9, so the bars shouldn't be there. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I'm an idiot when it comes to ARs.
The masking/rotoscoping was really iffy. It'd have been better if it wasn't there at all. Too much feathering on the edges, plus I don't really see the point of it.
The clip choice was pretty generic. It seemed as if you could have put them anywhere and it wouldn't make a difference. It wasn't really focused on the lyrics, at least not to me.
At 1:40 it looks like you cross-faded to the next clip, or it's just a glitch. Either way, doesn't look good. Kind of disrupts the "flow." Also, the timing seems off at 1:43. It switched clips to early imo.
The clip at 1:49 was weird. You should have extended the previous clip and cut that one out. Although it already looks like you slowed it down a lot.
The video should have ended at 2:28. There was no music, and while sometimes it works extending the scene longer than when the music ends, it didn't work in this case.
It was slow when it needed to be, and more upbeat when it needed to be, but it got glitchy at times.
It's a pretty generic 5cm video. The song is very interesting and fits 5cm well, but you didn't really do anything with it. It could have been a lot better. The only part where it looks like effort was put in was the masking (which didn't look like it took a significant amount of time), because everything else was just cutting clips and putting them together. Didn't look like much thought was put into it either.
Don't want to be rude, but it looks like a case of I'm-bored-I'm-going-to-edit-5cm-for-2-hours-because-I-have-nothing-better-to-do-and-it's-really-easy-to-edit-5cm-because-all-you-have-to-do-is-throw-clips-together-and-it's-automatically-some-emotional-video.
Better luck next time.

EDIT:
Minuses:
- quality, lacked a LOT (probably IS from a DVD but fairly faulty encode)
- AR - should be 16:9, as Taite said
- the ending could've been better in the storytelling sense
- useless masking (one was actually nice - 1:15 one)
Pluses
- good mood and good song selection
- focusing on telling a little different story (because the message on the cell was totally different from what you wrote there ;x )
Nice vid, though the technicals really drag it down ;_;

Re: Complete and Total Adoration
The anime fits absolutely perfectly with the song. The video quality is the main issue with this video, and some of your edits could have been improved, but I like this AMV regardless. I wish you good luck in whatever contest you submit this to.

Re: Complete and Total Adoration
Thanks for ur responses!! so im going to have to find somebody that can explain to me the magic that is quality cause i honestly thought this one looked good. true i will exept that my masking isn't top notch and that it could use some work but this whole AR thing is driving me nuts!! im sorry to say this but i honestly can't tell the difference =(
k let me rephrase that, i cant tell the difference in quality by changing 16:9 aspect ratio to 4:3

Re: Complete and Total Adoration
yeah, I know what you mean. As you watch and make more and more AMVs, you start to develop a "eye for quality". Just by looking at a few seconds of your video, it becomes very obvious that there are quality problems. I'm don't think that they happened due to the AR change though. I'm very curious. Did you rip the DVD yourself, use raw/fansub footage, or use a downloaded ISO? You can actually get a good quality result from all 3 options if you follow the right steps.AMVguru wrote:Thanks for ur responses!! so im going to have to find somebody that can explain to me the magic that is quality cause i honestly thought this one looked good. true i will exept that my masking isn't top notch and that it could use some work but this whole AR thing is driving me nuts!! im sorry to say this but i honestly can't tell the difference =(
