That's What You Get! [Angel Beats AMV]
This is my first posting on the .org, and I'm extremely pleased with the results.
It's a tad short, but I liked how it turned out.
Premiered on here and the .org today, 8/3/10. Hope you enjoy this!

good stuff. I really enjoyed this. I think that the concert scenes could have been synced better, and the lip sync could have been improved, but this was pretty good. I give you a 3.8 / 5
Edit: Is it just me, or does the video seem like it is constantly stuttering?

Re: That's What You Get! [Angel Beats AMV]
I was kind of disappointed. But it's a good disappointing, if that makes sense.
*The editing was FANTASTIC. The sync was great, the flow and feel of it was right on track, and the only thing that was really out of place was the band scenes.
*The concept was the biggest thing I had issues with. The AMV was really lacking a focus. When you've got a song and cut it as short as you did, you can't let a concept/story meander around as much as it did. We've got Angel Battles, we've got band scenes, and we've got parental abuse. Keeping focus on one aspect [in my eyes, the struggle between angel/characters and focusing on the Oto's "heart" throughout the entire story would have been really deep] is important when you've got not much time to put a lot into something.
*The song cut made me sadders. :_( I wanted to see MOAR. The editing was so great up to that point, and the multi-concept thing you were going with could have probably worked had it been spread out and gotten the other characters involved!
I was really impressed. Your first post on the org definitely knocked it out of the park, and I'll bestalking err.... Waiting for your videos in the future.
4/5

Yeah, I say that the concept is really not that good, mostly for a fact that I was limited to my footage. If I had more available at the time, I'm sure the concept of the video would have worked out more in a favorable fashion. Same with the song cut. If I had more to work with, especially with the second Angel scenes, it might have been longer and more satisfying to you.CodeZTM wrote:I was kind of disappointed. But I'm really glad that's pointed out. Keeping a concept in a more energetic AMV is important, so I need to keep that in mind for when I do my next one. Learning is why I wanted to post my AMVs on here, so I can improve and produce better ones in the future.
Also, @kireblue: I don't see any major stutterings in the video. I do have in constantly panning, and the lighting sometimes stutters from the show, but it's nothing major I noticed in either the .org or YT versions.

I take back what I just said. The stuttering stopped when I played it in VLC. Also, the concert scenes and the lip sync were no longer off by a second. I'm now giving this a 4.0 /5kireblue wrote:good stuff. I really enjoyed this. That was pretty slick
Still I think Angel Beats wouldn't be the best fit for this song, but it worked out somehow.
Keep it up!
