Children of Sorrow

Post by Falconone » Sat Oct 23, 2010 5:30 am

Ok here is a new AMV from my side. Yeah its a Drama video with Grave of the Fireflies.
It was the first Drama video, i announce, that is really Drama.
What should i say? The videoquality is not the best, i had not much time to get great source, because it is an application video.
Hope you enjoy it.

Lol, I can't decide if I liked those slow downs or not.

But AMV is good. Didn't really surprise me at any point but kept me interested till the end

I've seen this song being used in many animes that didn't quite go with it but I must say that with yours I was impressed. The song went with the theme quite nicely and produced a trance like quality.......nice :)

Wow I really enjoyed that surprisingly. :O Surprisingly because I've never seen this film and would probably never do because it's an old film and I'm er...not a fan of old films  but this video got me pretty interested.

There's the slow downs and the masks that I didn't really like but they weren't too big of an issue so I just kinda put them to a side in my mind when I was watching this. :asd:

I think what I liked most was the simplicity and the emotion in this video. [especially the end, that REALLY got to me ]

Anyway I was glad I clicked on this video. Good stuff, Keep it up! ^^

Thanks guys that you like it.
@AimonAio
Old films are not bad, looks not the best, but story and all can be very nice. Watched a time befor old Samurai movies, it was cool also it was that old. So give old stuff also they chance ;)

I totally forgot to comment on this.

I thought you did a really nice job capturing the atmosphere of the song and the anime, but I felt like the scene selection was a little slow at times. Like the scenes lasted a tad long, or really didn't fit the music or were a tad too literal [like at where children are sitting or when the teacher is teaching her lesson]. The footage was a little blocky here and there, but nothing terrible. I've seen FAR worse. :D

I gotta say, I was really impressed how you used the "Mad World" parts of the song. Those were really nice.

Oh, and the ending was really powerful and really tear-inducing.

[I demand we see at least ONE happy GOTF videos.]

I enjoyed this video quite a bit, one of the better Mad World videos.
