=D Thank you so much! (And reliving your childhood through this movie is a great idea. I must've done it at least twice while working on this trailer. xD)CodeZTM wrote:That was... That was....
HOLY SHIT. HEROMAN = IRON GIANT.
The way everything matched was just FANTASTIC. What an amazing and fun trailer! I usually don't even LIKE trailers, but this was one of the most adorable things ever. The editing was really great, the lip sync was fairly accurate and the overall atmosphere was just THERE.
Now, a few scenes fell a little flat here and there, but on the whole, it was just a really great experience.
Very nice job. Very very nice job.
/goes to find VHS of this movie and relieve more of said childhood

... I never watched this movie hehe... booyah!
But really. You should watch the Iron Giant. :3
Thanks!
Thanks very much! Ugh the beach scene took me forever to do as well. xD I mean there's literally one scene when Joey just dives into an ocean, but the problem is that its stormy, dark, and generally just didn't hit the atmosphere. So I had to go with wading. =P Heroman in the water was easy enough, since he doesn't really go near water in any other circumstance. xD;Panky wrote:Wow, that was such a good combo. While there were a few scenes that felt long on the run, the part in the beach was great and overall pretty good.
Nice trailer
Fair enough. I s'pose I got kind of lazy at that hiding scene. =P Originally I was trying to find a clip from that same episode when Joey tells Heroman that they, well, have to hide. But most of the scenes involved either them hiding or them running. I guess I could've gone with Joey pleading to Heroman at the end of episode 1 though, come to think of it now... xD; Oh well.Hagaren Viper wrote:I can only echo what was already stated, this combo fit together perfectly, to the point where I couldn't remember what the actual Iron Giant looked like xD Great job finding all the parallels between the two. Well worth spoiling myself a bit [/still has a handfull of eps to watch].
Also agree with a couple of scenes seeming off, like where Joey says "We've gotta hide!"...But he's already hiding.
And hah. xD Weeeeell looks like you're going to have to rewatch the movie. ;D Thanks!
Love you Ruby. Thanks so much!Rubeeh wrote:That!!! For me it's impossible to dislike any of your videos >:
Much obliged. C= (Sound effects were fun to match up to. : D xD Though I'll admit, I'm guilty of trying to pull off one thudding sound effect with an effect akin to that of lightning. xD; There were just no scenes I could remember that had Heroman just falling and sitting down normally.)Mastamind wrote:Nice The lipsynch and some scenes could have used more work at times, but good job at fitting the anime with the lyrics and sound effects.
Oh indeed. Iron Giant is a godly movie.Enigma wrote:Saw this yesterday. Enjoyed it a bit, brought back some memories. Fucking awesome movie/trailer though.
Glad you enjoyed it, if even a little bit. ^_^
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback. I was a bit iffy on the logo as well (and was planning to try and mask out the UFO so it would overlap the logo, but laziness took over, I'll admit.) I was also planning on adding the Iron Hero as an outline from the start, but I decided not to because of the audio saying 'The Iron Giant' and the fact that I fail at Photoshop. Working on improving in it. -_-'Dr. Faux Pas wrote:I liked it. You drew your parallels clearly, and a lot of the foley integrated seamlessly. The cuts during dialogue felt off-kilter sometimes when you changed the angle of the speaker mid-sentence. I also thought the translucent WB logo looked weird, since it's officially shown as opaque. One solution would have been to mask it out, but I think it would have worked just as well with it completely removed. You could also show a parody logo or one for Studio DEEN to further link the sources. Similarly, the final shot where the title is shown would have really sold your concept if you'd mocked up a screen that read "The Iron Hero". Good work.
ps - Is Hogarth's Heroman-double a boy or a girl? <_<
Thanks though. =D And (oh I knew someone would ask this question xD) Joey, Hogarth's anime counterpart, is in fact a boy. He's just one the most feminine-looking and sounding boys in anime I've seen yet.
Hey, don't go misleading people now. XDIkore wrote:we are still not pretty sure
