Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

In terms of errors, the most obvious one is never use footage which has subtitles, TV station logos or the Divx logo visible. It's distracting, it will disqualify your video from most contests, and most of the people here will straight up refuse to watch it.

The action sync was pretty good, the only comment I would make is be consistent, for example if you sync one BOOM with a punch, try to sync every BOOM with a punch.

The effects and transitions you used were very inconsistent. It sort of felt like you were using this video as a way of trying out and practicing a lot different ideas and techniques rather than picking a few and sticking to them throughout the whole AMV.

That said, I actually watched the whole thing (which I can't say for about 5 other AMVs I've clicked on randomly this morning) and I was entertained throughout. Like purplepolecat said, seek out subtitle-free footage in the future. It'll make a big difference in how people respond to what they're seeing.

The man is asking for help, don't just call his work "suck", try to be a bit more constructive, and tell him what needs improvement.
No offense, but that comment just makes you look really "suck". :dino:

Well, I watched the whole thing, and my first complain is the song. I just don't think it's ideal for amv unless you really really love it to death.
The scene selection was pretty dull, so try to be creative, and use proper scene's that are not just them fighting..over and over.
The thing you did in the beginning with those frames with black outline was really not needed.
Didn't like those "boom boom" text, they looked out of place, and just really random.
You seem like someone who's still new to editing, and honestly, if you want to be good, just be simple.
Don't try to hit on every single beat, just use simple effects, none of that weird stuff.
Simple stuff like colour correction, contrast and brightness, and blurs can be really effective.
I didn't touch on other things that have already been mentioned like subs, but yea just keep working on it, and you'll get better.
