Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Haven't been on here for a while, so I'm over compensating with 3 new AMV's!
Hope you enjoy!

Quick heads up. Use the vidID tags to announce your videos. Direct links to the preview are given, and those that download can get straight to them. ;)

Cowboy Bebop: Any reason why you made the screen size so ridiculously small? Today's basic [arguable] standard is at least 480p. The quality of the video [when stretched] was also slightly speculative. Might I reccomend buying some DVDs? For the video itself, it was pretty nice. The scenes here and there were far too long in certain parts and didn't really fit the music it was at. But for a romantic/sentimental Bebop video, it wasn't that bad at all. Just needed more movement and less static scenes and more in touch with the music at parts. Just didn't have that "fit" with the music.

Haruhi: What's with the funky video size? You've got black borders around the footage, which isn't necessary. At the lowest, the footage should have been fit in 848x480 filesize, with no black borders. As for the video istelf, the song was very slow, but the video in the footage was still too slow and didn't match the pace of the song. Lyically, it matched, but it just didn't have any rhthym to it. The scenes were also equally too long for the scenery. Scenes shouldn't "generally" last as long as they were in the video.

Check out some romance videos to see how slow videos are generally done. Movement isn't a bad thing in AMVs that have slow songs.

Here's a few good examples I can think of:

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=175693
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=153196
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=172643

Generally, I think the biggest problem with both AMVs was the speed of the video, the clips being far too long, the video size and the pacing with the AMV to the song.
