Feedback on cataloged Anime Music Videos

Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:

  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

One of my first tries at making an AMV. only made two others so i'm fairly new to this. It is for an AMV contest on a forum i frequent, but the deadline is in a month and i wanted it out there. :P Accel World has only recently aired so i only had a couple of episodes to work off. :) either way, enjoy.

This AMV was nice, but the occasional opening credits were distracting. My advice to you is to wait a little bit before editing a AMV with a new show. Right now, only 2 episodes have premiered, and the DVD/ blu ray footage isn't even available in Japan. If you had waited, not only would you have had more episodes to pick from, but you'd also be able to use higher quality video footage and clean OP/ EDs.

Not too bad :) The only thing that really stood out to me apart from what may have already been mentioned is that there were parts where the video seemed to linger; scenes that probably could have been cut/split a little sooner. It's actually something that was pointed out in my own video recently so it's something I pay attention to when watching others :P The song is rather face paced and up beat as well, so the lengthened scenes kind of take away from the AMV a bit. Not at all saying it was bad though, kind of makes me want to watch the anime :) Keep up the good work and keep practicing! I'd like to see more from you in the future!!
