- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Daybreak
This is the first full-length video I've edited and released since early 2009. It also spurred me to finally learn how to do karaoke effects (albeit basic ones) in Aegisub. The karaoke subs aren't default (as usual whenever I've included subs), so you have to turn them on deliberately if you want to see them.
Remember to use LAV Filters, because ffdshow doesn't support Opus. mpv also works if the libavcodec it uses was built against libopus (although to play it back correctly, mpv needs to be newer than July 16th, or else the audio pitch will be hilariously low).
EDIT: An 8bit H.264 + AAC alternative copy is now up too, for those that don't want to mess with the Opus audio stream.

I don't know if it's just me but I couldn't download the video so i can't give my opinion. If you could put up an alternative download link or host it on a site like youtube that would be great.

Re: Daybreak
The download worked when I uploaded it, and I just verified that it works fine through the catalog page, although the download speed was a lot lower than I'm used to when getting stuff off Local. Maybe it was a server problem?

Re: Daybreak
I'm having a problem with the file. It's an .mkv but the audio stream is undefined, meaning either the audio is missing or it's in an unknown file type or codec. Is there any chance you can tell me what codec the audio is? I can see the video, it's just that there's no sound.
~Edit - I've taken the liberty of converting the .mkv, downloading the song, and slapping it together
If the syncing is straight up from the beginning of the song, and the AMV starts then, I can assume I'm able to properly give a review.
~Edit:Edit - Left an opinion on the video. Well done, very enjoyable.

Opus. I mentioned that in the opening post and the catalog page, and the solution.halex1316 wrote:I'm having a problem with the file. Thanks. I can't really predict whether another copy will sync exactly, as I had to correct for differences between the copy I bought from iTunes originally, and the one I ripped right from the CD.~Edit:Edit - Left an opinion on the video. Well done, very enjoyable.
I've uploaded an 8bit H.264+AAC copy to Mediafire as an alternative.

Re: Daybreak
My bad, I wasn't paying attention. It was late, that's my excuse. Anyway, what I did seemed to sync with many of the major parts. Don't worry, you didn't lose any points.

Re: Daybreak
This is sweet.
I feel like people that haven't watch the anime might need some further explanation as far as your story goes. Also it seems to me that the lack of climax in the song itself may have hindered your possibility to add some impact to it. That being said you did edit the song pretty well.
Good job!
