Re: Broken Nights
There's been some time since I don't go on a trip to see my father and my brother. All these "friendship and past" in combination with that moving sideways image of an illuminated place hidden in the woods at night (0:29) made me remember the train travels I used to have to go meet my father's family. Of course the rythm of the song and how the melody was composed made me remember the train's noise too. I used to travel in trains with the boy scouts too. I wish I could live my past once more. There are so many friends I miss. Thanks for sharing this vídeo. It's great, it's excellent. I don't even have the words for it.
You were great at choosing the scenes.

Re: Broken Nights
Yes she is a ghost and the series is very good but I found the movie much more entertaining/emotional.remus_damascus wrote:Is that girl a ghost? This series looks interesting.

Re: Broken Nights
First of all I I think it would be better if you uploaded it on org, since I'd like to see your vid in the original quality
To begin with the good stuff, I liked that you accomplished to create some feelings. The song and the anime fit well together and I lked that you tried to make some lyricsync here and there.
What I didn't like too much is that it was too short to build up anything more than an impression of what you felt watching the series. It just felt like an insight that is too small to trigger any emotions.
About the Effects, I don't really think it was necessary to do this old film look over the whole video, because it doesn't really seem to fulfill any purpose. I think you should use those effects to underline changes in the song or certain special aspects you want to emphasize. They just feel meaningless the way you used them. Some of the scenes were also very static which you could compromise with light camera movements or by animating the scale just a little.
Hope I helped you a little, keep going!
