Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
- Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Re: Follow My Lead (FML)
Local version now available!
Thanks all for the comments!
Just wanted to clear my head a little here... I could ramble on about the video, so I'l try to keep it short.
This video is definitely experimental in a lot of ways, especially for me and as an AMV. I learned a ton of things working on this afterall. The whole process has been a labor of love and I put forth more effort on this than any other video prior due to actually producing it. Not saying that translates to anything more than that - but because of that, I'm definitely more connected to this video more than any other, despite the smallest of audience niches it may hit. Overall, I'm ecstatic getting to this point and I do love how it turned out. Or maybe I've just gone crazy after having spent all the time on it.
Either way, you probably don't want to 'follow my lead' unless you're prepared to go insane with tediousness too.

Ben - Thanks mang! Glad you got turned onto it! I *literally* couldn't have done it without you.
Ikore - Thanks much! Yea I really ramped up the production value because I wanted that feel to it. Learned a lot in doing so.
Armadeus - Thanks! o:
Yue - I say nothing... >_> Also, you already knew I was insane
M'o'l' - Thanks!
Dr. Derpface, J.D. - Thanks! O:
Cenit - Glad you liked it! But yea, if Baka and Test figures existed I would've gone that route for sure. Dance-only version should be up relatively soon. o:
Thanks again all!

Re: Follow My Lead (FML)
Did I post on this yet? I can't remember. Either way. This was pretty sweet, I'm glad that a lot of the things that bugged me in the AWA/NDK version were cleaned up/fixed cause the final version has got some pretty cool things going on. I liked all the geometric transitions with the rectangle stuff going on 1:30 and then the circle stuff at around 2:38.

Re: Follow My Lead (FML)
So wait, no one else tried watching it like this?
I doubt that just editing AMVs, even if you do it for like 15 years, is enough to prepare anyone to make something like this. The sets you built for this are just beautiful.

This was really cool. It seems like such a basic variation on that sort of thing but I don't know if I've ever seen anything like it before.Shin-AMV wrote:the circle stuff at around 2:38.
