Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Not a bad vid. I'm not a fan of such strong effects though to match the beat of the song. I think you could have reduced the amount and found internal sync, (scenes within the anime itself that match the beat), instead of relying on zoom and shake effects so much. In moderation it's fine but you want to balance internal and external sync. Still an enjoyable watch.

Two minutes and nineteen seconds is probably getting really close to the limit of how long I can stay fully engaged in watching a video with such a jarring editing style. That said, I did find the energetic, almost upbeat-style approach to this material tp be more enjoyable than most of the AMVs made for this series that really lean into its most dark and brooding qualities.

Trying to watch this a second time was pretty exhausting but I think that has more to do with the music than your editing (and yeah, very few AMVs really earn a strobe warning quite like this one). But I will not get on my high horse about that right now!

if your effects would've varied more it would've been more enjoyable to watch, also try sending out a message to the audience, an example is having a story behind the amv not just spamming the fight scenes.
