Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

2019 in Anime AMV

Post by l_Tic-Tac_l » Mon Dec 30, 2019 8:22 am

I always wanted to do a yearly tribute and finally had the time this year!
55 seasonal shows. Scenes from over 110 different episodes. One AMV encapsulating every seasonal show I watched to completion this year!

Well that was a slick montage.

A warning to my epileptic friends, stay away from this one or sit far away from the screen.

Good scene selection, pretty fluid sense of flow (is that redundant?) from beginning to end, I don't mean to be greedy but you could have edited the whole song here.

Yeah, that. ^

I'm a big fan of the match cuts, especially in the beginning. You also have some great internal sync. My favorite was the lightning at 1:45ish, but there were other cool moments to pick out. Your love for these anime show, but I also have to agree with seasons that the end of the song was a real cut off. If you needed to shorten it, perhaps you could've picked another area so it felt a little more natural.

other than this, nice job. =]

Thanks a lot for the feedback man!
I totally agree about the cut off, it is rather abrupt. I used up all the nice dynamic scenes I had banked and had nothing left for the end is all haha

Thanks for the feedback man! I only usually get comments on my AMV's that say "nice" and "cool", so its good to get some feedback that lets me know what I'm doing right and wrong :)
Yeah 100% agree with both of you, I just ran out of dynamic scenes to use, didn't want to half-ass the end
