DEATH GRIPS - BILLY NOT REALLY [Zashikiro & Horizon Blue AMV]

AN IMPRESSIONISTIC DOCUMENT THAT SHOCKS!
I don’t think it so much shocks as it’s honest.
It’s honest, but it’s a good piece in itself.
So, you see, we’re a… a little nervous about hitting you with this.
It’s a shot in the dark, but it’s strong and it’s attractive.
It better be better than the last one, Harry.

This vid took a bit of wrasslin, but now, with a lotta punk tactics, I got this vid that plays like a big, gurgling, broken machine. I'm honestly over the moon about it, it's very Death Grips and very Harada!

As for the footage: Hiroshi Harada's team, that goes by the name Kiyubaru, has been exceptionally curating a backlog of his animation material, including old cells, sketches, and a fantastic DVD rerelease of Harada's early short Death's Lullaby (which I was ecstatic to cut together a Nirvana AMV with a bit ago). And they've also posted some amazing teasers for Harada's unreleased films Horizon Blue (which had some limited screenings in Japan in 2019) and Zashikiro (currently in development, and has been in development since the early 90s). No small amount either, one of the Zashikiro trailers is over 14 minutes long, and the footage is all INCREDIBLE! I used those, along with some outtake clips and a mesmerizing performance piece from one of the Horizon Blue showings, for this video. I've really fallen in love with the material that's available, and I'm super excited for whenever the full films will be released!
