my first attempt doing an amv |:> . i ve used davincis optical flow to slow down the footage and most of the time i like it, but if its too extreme the smoothness still suffers - so yea its not perfect but i am excited to see where this is going. make sure you use an appropriate listening device, the sound contains sub-frequencies - hf (:

This is incredibly weird and surreal and I love it. Using frame interpolation (which is what I assume Optical Flow does) typically requires you to do a lot of tweaking to the actual frames you are working with to remove duplicates, otherwise the frame interpolation software will insert frames in-between those duplicates and you'll get this really disjointed rhythm in the output. Usually this is not a desirable thing, but here the effect really sells this as something unique and appropriate. There's a druggy haze in the music that complements the weird, stilted cadence of the visuals and it all comes together in a really interesting way. Can't think of another Your Name video that feels quite like this!
