  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

New Video From FS? Why, yes it is!!!

Post by FrostSniper » Tue Feb 10, 2004 7:58 pm

Ok, i've definitely gone off the deep end. I used 3, yes that's right, 3 different songs. All beeing from not of this decade, or even the last...

It's sort of a medley and a remix video. I don't actually know what to call it... Let's just say it's a mutation of something I spawned at 2 in morning and woke up, finalized it, and sayed "holy crap, wtf did i just make?".

Set to 3 different video sources and 3 different songs is Fickled Times.

The footage was awful, The music effects where annoying,
And at one part I continplated turning it off..

But don't take this as I hated it.

You have an awesome sense of timing, all the best footage in the world can't replace bad timing.

But you have a great sense, you just don't have the best footage...

If you just got better footage I could see you really doing some fantastic work.

Great timing +
Bad footage (not because it's dbz... just cause it looks bad, and the cartoonnetwork thing ) =

An oddly good video =\ ... Not saying it's great, it's just, you have a good sense of timing, you've already grasped timing (which I found the hardest thing to do personaly...).

Just get some better footage...

If you're set on dbz, those dvd's you used are about 14 to 19 bucks at walmart (9 if you get edited only).

P.s: I didn't want to make this an op, because I feel it would be unfair to give an op 1. when no-one asks, and 2. the footage almost ruins the video.

completely understandable. Now i have to learn how to rip dvd's. I'll get around to that when my b-day rolls around. So, no more vids from me until next month. :)

Well for the sole purpose of AMV making I'd suggest the guides here. Specifically Absoulte Destiny and Ermac's Guide

I think that the vid is quite good. Some of your effects are hilarious, and I don't mind the poor quality (which I think is quite over-emphasized)

Nice work, keep them coming!
Yes, I am truly NOT you!

I'm torn...the music is top notch but the quality and editing/timing were poor. It's a definite keeper if only for the sped up My Sharona audio and the fact it has one of my favorite songs (I Ran - Flock of Seagulls).
