Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
 • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
 • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
 • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
 • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Lipsync is generally considered good in certain types of vids and sometimes bad in others, but different people have diferent opinions on it.

Nothing is a requirement in this feild of hobbies, do what you want and to hell with everyone else ;p Ofcourse if you want people besides you to Like the vid, thats a diferent story, But, I say besides technical aspects (such as encoding and such,) do what you fancy and follow your style, but be willing to experiment, and take suggestions also.

How that simple question from you turned into an entire Introduction to AMV Editing speach from me is beyond me.

anyways let me shutup and download

x2, I dug it. The only real problems i had with it were all technical:

#1 Aspect ratio seemed a bit screwey, the characers had a stretch efffect horizontaly.
#2 Interlacing artifiacts. Only major in some areas, but distracting nonetheless. Work on getting that footage deinterlaced properly ^_^

#3 Your studio logo throught the video was distracting. If you must have it in there, fade it in and back out for just a few seconds, or make it much more transparant. I would prefer to get rid of it completely though.

#4, and this one is a minor one, but while the subtitles were excellent, and done well in a way that its not too distracting from the scenes, and still look stylish, The english subs in particular were hard to read. Kanji and romanji ones were done well.

Besides these points, the vid is excellent, keep up the good work.

thanks for the comments Bakadeshi (and all) ..

anyway what's "interlacing artifact"? is it the horizontal distorted lines in the footage? is it related to how I ripped the footage from DVD? can you suggest me a good dvd ripper program?

Basically, yes.
anatilmizun wrote:is it related to how I ripped the footage from DVD?
No -- DVD rippers won't touch the interlacing. You need to either inverse telecine (IVTC) before you start editing, or IVTC or deinterlace after you export your video but before you compress it for online distro.

I suggest you READBAG. Especially the part on <a href="http://www.animemusicvideos.org/guides/ ... processing VOBs after you've ripped them. It's very helpful.

Yes, the guides will do a whole lot better job at explaining them to you than I ever could here. I should have posted it in my first post, thanks Scintilla.

Even if you feel you know how to do a certain thing, or like to do it diferently, I'd suggest reading through all of it just to be informed. (if not use it) Its a good read.

If you have any more specific questions on anything after reading the guides, Ask in the apropriate "Help" forums, and we'll be glad to help out ^_^
