DUDE!
DUDE! I just watched your music video and WOW. The comments made previously were not unfounded. My head nearly exploded with the sheer number of effects in there!
But I'd like also to say, for almost 100% of it, I loved the effects. Neon-Genesis Evangelion is one crazy anime and one of my favourites at that. The sheer confusion, complexity and character insanity in it, I believe shows a huge need for 5 billion special effects.
Also... did you say you made this in...
MOVIE MAKER!?!!?! ...W****WS ...MOVIE ...MAKER... the scum of all AMV making tools ever to exist?!?!??!!!! If the answer is yes then... OMG OMG OMG that's one severely amazing accomplishment. I think it well deserves to be in the top 10% and I give it 5/5. I might even register an opinion for it which I've never done before for anybody. (Congrats, this AMV really rang bells for me.)

You know...that was a pretty good video, if not for some technical flaws (like the sound and the fact that EoE is a letterboxed motion picture compared to the TV series).
The problem here, really, is just that WMV videos made on WMM aren't going to impress the big-time creators and critics here on the forum (and believe me, I'm pretty small potatoes; considering that the four videos I've released here are WMV's, haven't broke 3.5, and I've only made finals twice in the con circuit). You're going to have to move up, or else that will show everyone you're nothing but ennui's little booty-beeyotch.
On the other hand...as many times as I've worked with WMM2, there are effects in that video I haven't seen in there. Hmmm... are you familiar, perhaps, with Windows Media Encoder, a free program from the Windows Media site?

I've got WME, and last I checked, it was only for the actual encoding of WMVs, not editing or effects work. Like EO Video, or TMPGEnc without all the filters.MadNavigator wrote:On the other hand...as many times as I've worked with WMM2, there are effects in that video I haven't seen in there. "Uh...we're working on that..."
Y-yeah, anyway...
That is correct. Big brain on ya, Scintilla. Now...can you deduce any further into this?

Am I the only one who disliked the effect useage in Olin? (No offense to Drnged of course). I actually found myself enjoying the plain scenes far more than the flying and spinning hexagons... But whatever.
As for this video:
The effects (especially the multi-screening stuff) got in the way of an otherwise cool vid. Look at Toushi (given that it uses the same song). In that video, we have a mostly action driven flow and energy to the music. The video uses effects to compliment the focus, being the scene, while not becoming the focus themselves. Your video looks to try to make the effects stand out more than the actual motion and movement of the animation on screen, which hurts reviewability in my case and IMO takes a bit away from the vid.

The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

Woah>_< Guys there is no need to think so much about how I done those effects..>-< Is.. HARD WORK!! And yes.. MOVIE MAKER, Windows Movie Maker! I worked with that program! All is write in the comments:
First, it's my most hard working and effort video, and probably my best one. I worked on 1600 single screens on Photoshop to do what I wanted, I worked on it nerly 70 hours
I used Adobe Photoshop a program for draw, and I worked on thousands of screens.. This is why I call my work a masterpiece of effort
Hey guys I appreciate SO SO MUCH all this posts on my topic and all this comments!! If you can put even ten words in an opinion.. I would cry of happiness
