Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
 • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
 • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
 • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
 • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

What do you get when you combine Naruto and Bryan Adams?

Post by wuslogic » Fri Oct 29, 2004 7:02 pm

You get my latest video!

<a href="http://www.animemusicvideo.org/members/ ... Everything Hinata Does... is my great love song entry. Mind you, typical me, it is a love song with fight sequences. You people be the judges to see if it worked.

Please leave opinion!

Oh, there is a mild possibility that you'll need the latest divx to watch this (read my comments on the link above).

Given that this is an AMV, I always find sound a good thing to have. :? Which you don't, either in DivX or Quicktime.

No Sound?

Post by wuslogic » Sat Oct 30, 2004 3:23 am

The divx sound compression I used was IMA ADPCM 4:1, 44.1 kHz. That was then cut and saved as a .mov file. I would ask if you opened the file with the latest vlc player to see if that would work.

Umm...I get no problems on my end, even after just now downloading it, but I use a mac, and I have limited knowledge of the virus known as Windows. If the problem persists, I still have all the raw clippage saved on my hardrive for just such a problem, and I could try another format and then test it on a friend's computer before resubmitting...which poses the question,

"If the AMV has unforseen problems - from the perspective of the author - can he resubmit (concidering the strict rules on no 'betas' or 'resubmitting')?"

Could someone please answer this, or should I repost on another board? Unsure of the protocol (or even if the problem is universal and not case studied).

You can, yes. You need to go to this page (the Edit My Videos page linked to on your member's page) and click the link that says "Request Deletion of Bad Video Entry." Then you need to give a reason and wait for an admin to delete it so you can re-upload it.

I played this song on a friend's computer, and there was no problems. Then, just to make sure, we took off his big codec pack and tried again. Obviously, it didn't work then. I'll repost the info on my page so others won't run into the simple problem here. Thanks for the info.

This is a website for codecs. On the left hand side you should find the download you want (one of the K-lite Packs should work).
