I uploaded it a couple of days ago and I didn't realize I could post on here to let people know it's available. It's listed under the Tales of Symphonia (game) anime and the video title is "Zelos' Reason(s)". It's my first attempt at an AMV so please leave opinions for me, ok? If you stick around past the end of the video, you get to hear my dance mix which I came up with using Dance eJay. You don't have to listen to it though ... feel free to close the player window before it starts if you don't like dance-style music.

One more thing ...
I made this using Windows Movie Maker 2... I can't afford any of the high-end quality software. And I have an older Hauppauge TV tuner card which I used with my gamecube to get the video clips. I hope to one day have a newer card which supports higher video resolutions, but for now, this works. OK, back to viewing my video, please.

Request for comments ...
I know that some of you who viewed this thread have downloaded my video. Can anyone give me any pointers for future videos? I know that this one isn't the best in the world, but since Tales of Symphonia only has so many anime cut-scenes, I had to work with what I have, you know?
Anyway, comments would be welcome.
Thanks!

Just to let you know, this goes without saying. It's also best not to do multiple posts to yourself.Undrhil wrote:

You shouldnt use subtitles to tell your story. Also, pretty much all you did was use cutscenes of Zelos talking with texts. Your really supposed to tell your story with visuals. Also, in the anime cutscnese, you never showed any scenes with Zelos. There was also very little editing. Also, the credits go on way too long. In fact, almost longer then the movie does.
Go for more sync and don't use subtitles to tell a story. They are distracting to the eye.

Well ...
Have you ever played Tales of Symphonia? There aren't too many anime cutscenes with Zelos in them ... at least, not on the Gamecube version I have. The opening intro movie does but that's it. In fact, I don't think any of the other anime cutscenes show the PCs at all beyond the opening intro. In the Japanese version, there's a bunch of anime cutscenes of the characters .. maybe I should go get the Japanese version and a Freeloader so I can get those additional scenes ...
There is no way to turn off the text in those scenes either, since most of the scenes have no voice-over dialog in the American version. Even the ones which do have voice-over dialog have a text bubble just in case the player has turned the voice-overs off for the play-through they are doing. :: Sigh :: I'll have to pick another project and make it without subtitles, but for this one ... with what I had available and since it was my first time making one, I think I did a good job. I can go through and get more scenes with Zelos and cut down on the time the text is visible, but that'll be about the only real change I could make to it at this point.
Oh, and those aren't credits. It's a shameless plug to get people to listen to my dance mix I made. I took it off of the subsequent renderings of the movie, but I haven't uploaded the edited version to AMV yet.
