Tenchi's Rollercoaster re-encode available

Post by Mastashake » Tue Jul 12, 2005 10:37 am

Two years ago I told myself I'd do this, and now here it is.
Tenchi's rollercoaster, origionally encoded in the notorious Angelpotion codec (I didn't know any better at the time) now available as a true MPEG video.

Also, available on this awsome sight for the first time, the origional instrumental variation.

I'd been debationg putting up the instrumental version for quite some time, so know I did.

Please enjoy.

Nice, I hadn't seen this Tenchi video before. A good balance between the female characters. Most Tenchi videos are Ryoko love-fests, which as an Ayeka fan, annoys me. So I like to see videos that don't seem to favor one character over the other. Its a nice change of pace, not to mention more true to the series itself.

I can't say which of the two verisons of the video I like better. I'll have to watch them both a little more. The one downside to both however was that little Ryoko voice snipit. It just seemed out of place, even more-so in the instrumental version. Well, that's my two cents.

*Makes note to alert XenoDrake of this the next time he speaks with him*.

Seriously, I wouldn't have clicked this if it weren't for him. I'll grab it when I start sleeping tonight (god I hate dial up).

If I remember correctly, you encoded with some weird codec. I had to get FFDShow just to decode and watch it. Because of that difficulty, I had a problem enjoying the video. Now it should be a bit better.
