Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

AMV First timer

This is my first AMV. Any feedback and comments would be great whether you love it or hate it. I made it in premier. It took me probably about 10-12 hours of editing, and I don't know how many hours of pulling footage from different series.

Thank you.

I was going to be very angry with you untill i saw that you did infact have a spoiler warning and i was just to blind to see it. As if the implication of the ending of the animes wasnt enough for me. Anyways, on to the comments!

First off I'd like to say that the fact you made the post with a link to your video is actually quite remarkable. No, that is sadly not a joke :( Also your description was well written and it seems like you care about your final product. I've mentioned this in other threads - but i have always thought that when it looks like the creator cares about what he/she is doing it makes me want to download the video even more.

The song was used very well. I found myself even cracking a smile as it said "you were everything that i ever wanted" and the shift to the "but we lost it".

The footage was of nice quality. I'm assuming you used DVDs - another plus! I would also have to agree with your choices (Well not with Evangleion, but you already adressed that in your description, and i would agree with the ending of the RK anime but not the RK manga :P).

The editing was also nice. Short, simple, and sweet. It was all that was really needed for the video and i think you did well in the overall composition of it.

Overall, the video was pretty awesome. I think you did some great work and should be, if you arnt, very proud of your final product. This is pretty amazing for a first video so I'm deffinitly looking forward to what you put out in the future. Good luck and keep it comming!

P.S - Although i did get FMA spoiled of my own fault - this video actually made me want to watch the whole series >.<

Wow, thank you for the kind words! I was fairly happy with how things came out. There were 1 or 2 things I wish I could have done better, but part of me really wanted to get things done last night, and to make the changes I was thinking of it would have probably taken me days. Thanks to your kind words I'm inspired to try to do more, and hopefully make them even better.
