  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Third AMV, one of those things you force yourself to finish for deadlines (AWA). Despite doing the last third so quickly, I think it turned out well.

Anime: Hitsuji no Uta
Music: Venetian Snares - Befriend A Childkiller + Remix (Edit)

Fuck yeah dude. *downloading*

I've been waiting for you to do another video. I totally dig your style.

The video is creepy as hell, and not simply because the anime is creepy as hell (or so it seems). I've never seen (or frankly, even heard of) Hitsuji no Uta, but the way you did it, I don't think I really needed to. I understood the story/mood/conflict just fine.

I can't say I like this more than Gimmik, but then again I'm a Paranoia Agent fan. Either way, really solid editing, interesting story, and wicked style.

I will say that this type of video isn't for everybody though (more from a theme/style standpoint than a content standpoint)

Word. I did another in between Paranoia Gimmik and this, in case you missed it, although it's probably the weakest of the three.

Thanks for the input!

I submitted both this and Paranoia Gimmik to the AWA Expo contest, here's to hoping some good comes of that :)

Well, just to let you know, me and Koopiskeva did a panel at Anime Central 2005 entitled 'Koop and Atom's Top 10 Indie Videos' where we showed each of our top 5 favorite videos that weren't exactly "popular". I ended up showing Gimmik, and it got quite a good response :)

Whoa, that's very cool! Thanks!

I had the pleasure of catching it play at Otakon during an overflow block, it had a pretty good response there too :D

Creepy as hell. Not something I'll watch a thousand times, but very well done.

I MUST see Hitsuji no Uta, thank you for introducing me to it with your very well edited amv. I really like your editing style, but I don't think this is a video I can watch more than 5 times on loop. Have you considered working with the Duke Nukem theme song? I think your style could really do it justice.
