Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

"Advent Children" and "Spaceman"

Post by The Dark Shadow » Sun Mar 19, 2006 8:00 am

Hoy de hoy. I've just downloaded a 30 day trial of Ulead Videostudio 9, and am considering getting it...
I've come up with this cerazy video, featuring footage from Final fantasy: Advent Children and music from Babylon Zoo. It took me 2 solid weekends and whatever time I had in between to complete, though most of that was spent on pre-processing.

However, the ouput was 257Mb, and as such I had to save as an MPEG-2, then againas an MPEG-1. This...wasn't the best of ideas, as the video size and quality have decreased, as has the audio quality. However, video size is now a measly 50Mb! Yay.

To finalise, the master copy of this looks around 5 times better, yet this is still watchable. I spent a lot of time on the intro, and I hope it shows. ^_^

Anyhoo, please watch and if you're suitably impressed/affronted, leave an opinion!

Despite it all, probably the thing I regret not doing before I left the most is shooting more people. It really left a tang in my mouth...

*leap attacks-bumps*
Maybe this is disallowed - I'm no expert on the ettiquet of the forum section of this site - but I demand more than 12 views.

Bumping is, in fact, looked down upon in these forums. If you'd like some feedback, a great place to go is the Opinion Exchange forum. There are lots of nice folks there.

Also, the reason you're getting so few hits/views is because you used Advent Children. It's irritating, but the more common a source is, the less people will watch a video made with it. Like I said, hop on over to the Op Exchange forum and you should find what you're looking for.
