- Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
- Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
- When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.

Good effort but this really doesn't belong here. What you have here is an animated short film, it's not anime or a music video at all. Sure it has music but it's not a music video...it's an independent short film with music. Don't think that I'm saying it was bad but I feel it would be better appreciated on an "animated short" fansite.
Still good effort tho. It was very similar to alot of the independent works out there dealing with surreal natures and such. I feel it would be much better if you actual hand drew the pictures and scanned them in or invested in a real animation program because it looked very "cheap", as in the quality and the look of it all. I used to watch alot of independent films and animated shorts and have seen how much the quality matters. But for a first effort it was ok.

I think some people need to be reminded that original animation is allowed on this site. It's the ONLY non anime material allowed on this site. Unless the rules drastically changed during the past year that I don't know about.kisanzi wrote:Good effort but this really doesn't belong here. Instead of another person telling you it doesn't belong here, I can't put a dim look on something so abstractly cohesive and beautifully creepy. As for kizansi's comment, I don't see how this video is any more an independent short film with music than AbsoluteDestiny's Storytelling or kamoc's is that you. This video definitely deservers a few viewings, and a good amount of respect for the effort put into it.
*gasp* You'd never know it from your other posts.Knowname wrote:I uh... I uh I don't get it. Damn. I hate to think.

I wasn't saying that original animation is against any rules, heck there are plenty of self drawn AMVs on the site like Utena Daioh and Greed vs. Envy. But those videos were done in the relation to an anime source or inspired by an anime source. As the ruling stands right now:Jebadia wrote:I think some people need to be reminded that original animation is allowed on this site. It's the ONLY non anime material allowed on this site. All I'm saying is that this video is "animated" but not significantly related to "anime". My main point was not derogatory to the video in any means, I used to watch a fair amount of this type of things and enjoyed them, as I did with this one. I was merely pointing out the fact that it might be better suited for a different style of site as far as in depth of creative input goes.Vlad G. Problem comes into that this could encompass almost anything and may not even be related to anime in most respects... For now they are on a case to case basis.
*Sorry for the rambling...but it sounds like everyone interpreted what I said incorrectly. I wasn't condemning the video as to it's listing here, just making a suggestion to the creator if they're seeking more constructive input is all. I apologize to the creator or anyone else if I seemed offensive in any way, that wasn't my intent. :O
