SE Lain - Indigo Children
This video was made together with the NoThanx band. We combined some live video with footage from Lain. I think the atmosphere of this anime really suits their music and personalities of the musicians. Maybe the plot would seem a little bit banal after Matrix and all the movies like that (the anime itself included), but I still like it =)
And yeah, this is my second vid. I tried to experiment a little bit more with visual effects, although some people said to me the clip lacked effects. The reason is I don't want to overload it with fx unless I can make them look *really* awesome.
Here is the amv: Indigo Children
I'd appreciate if you left some comments on it

That was spooky...in a good way...
The effects you did were excellent...
The way you potrayed the live action footage as being inside "The Wired" was excellent...
The way you placed the live action footage on screens (particularly where Lain touches the screen) was excellent...
All in all, a very unusual video that I really liked.
My only complaint was the quality of Lain footage at certain parts. Some parts looked perfect, but parts where there's alot of blue and black on the screen had alot of macroblocking within said colors. I've noticed that this is typical of Lain videos though.
Nicely done. I plan on leaving you an opinion later.

I liked it ! I don't speak Russian, but it sounded good to me. I always like adding more international videos to my collection.
Some of the live footage seemed a little too static and forced. I would of liked to see the live footage blended with Lain more. It broke up the pace and feeling of the video to me. Mainly the lengthy part starting at 1:32 - 2:16.
Other than that, I think you and NoThanx did a great job ^_^!

Yeah, I agree with you. This was my first experience of working with live footage. If I were starting to make the video now, I'd probably change a lot. The problem was that 90% of the anime part of the clip was finished a month before we began to film live scenes, so it would have been hard to split live footage and mix it with anime more
Anyway, even with this simple structure we faced a lot of problems. We filmed the whole live sequence in a couple of hours in one day, because of the constantly changing weather. Luckily, the accumulator lasted pretty long, but we ended up having to film the opening of live scene (where camera quickly approaches the singer) with our photo camera
Still, I like the result - it turned out better than we expected
