Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Another "My First AMV"

Post by The Legendary Robanian » Sun Nov 05, 2006 3:02 pm

Well as I've said many times over on many websites, It is a first. I only used one episode. I spent literally a matter of hours editing and I was a little lazy when it came to tweaking the video quality. But one way or another it's done and for me that's all that matters. The anime is Shingetsutan Tsukihime and the song is Let It Out by Pillar. Anyways. Enjoy. And feel free to make any comments.

This guy has undersold his video. It's not as bad as he says it is. Although it does have some problems:

Video quality was ok, but not perfect

Some clips were WAAAY too long

Some sections looked out of place.

Overall, a basic 3/5, good first video too! Keep it up, and I can sense great things can come from you.

Thnx for the feedback. I could have spent more time and methods to tweak the video quality, and with only one episode it's kind of hard to find clips. Tsukihime itself isn't sold b/c of it's dazling action sequences and mindblowing visuals so I had to comprise...alot. A 3 is pretty good by my standards. I would have given at 2 outa 10 for trying...but then again you run into the whole "creater vs. consumer" conflict, so it's understandable. Overall this was more or less a test on how to do it and then what to change ,to make the next one better. Again thnx for the opinion. I've got a great song and some mental images  for another but I have to get my hands on the DVD's first so that it'll take some time and money.

That's good. I suggest you take a little more time in developing footage for your next video. If you need any help, feel free to pm me.

I had ALOT of problems with my codecs (Premiere kept making my computer crash)so I used stupid little DivX which gave an awful result in video resolution AND effects. I hope you can still enjoy my scene/music choices o.O
