Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Looks like the whole gang is here! The video deserves it, though. Consistent stuff throughout. I especially liked the calm, black-background sequence. Very fresh stuff.

And the avisynth stuff really shows, too. I'm getting pretty desperate though. Seems like every single good editor is on em now, and I still can't for the life of me write a line of code

EDIT : Don't bother. Forgot for a second I have a Mac now, and no avs on there. I'm crazy, I know.

I've never had so many people reply to any of my announcement threads...it's a surprise to me. Thank you very much for the nice comments. ^^

God, I wish I'd figured out how to use Avisynth sooner. I'm not really swift with it (well...most technical stuff, for that matter), and I have to refer back to A&E's guide a lot. XP I haven't really had to deal with anything more than smoothing and sharpening filters...I'm lost with all the other stuff. O_O I didn't know you couldn't use it on Mac's. Damn...

Er... I'm kinda worn out right now, so this is going to lack my usual descriptiveness. Sorry about that.

Essentially, I really liked this. It's one of the better EL videos I've seen, what with the way it uses more action and dramatic imagery than the usual outright gore that we're used to seeing AMVs with this source. Overall sync was very good, and I actually very much enjoyed the shaking effect you used to emphasize the strong notes. I don't particularly have any complaints about the video quality. Sure, it could have been better, but it looks nice, and it's right on par with most of the "upper level" AMVs being put out lately.

This one's a keeper for me, since I'm lacking any 'harder' Elfen Lied videos that aren't so gore-oriented. Nice work, love, and keep it up. I'm glad that I picked you as my newbie to follow, because you're consistently impressing me each time. ^_^

That made me smile. :D Thank you for always giving me your thoughts on my videos...you don't know how much I appreciate it.

I'm so glad to hear that. I tried really hard to focus on using scenes that were on the edge of being gory...but more or less, just a little bloody, just in order to enhance the dramatic aspect of this video. So I'm very happy to hear that you liked that. ^^ The graphic violence hasn't ever really been the part of the anime that I really enjoy...it's the stories behind the characters that really intrigue me.

Awesome. XD I think there are a decent number of spoilers in this video (if not, my description of it at least), so I'm glad you're deciding not to watch it yet. I hope you enjoy the series, it's one of my favorites. :)

Finally got it and watched it, i wasn't sure wot to expect (u know another elfen lied vid * groan*).
BUT this is pretty sweet.
It has great:
timing
visual quality
use of effects (not overuse)
song choice
emotive use of visual/anime story that fits with the lyrics.
I just can't believe that it took so bloody long for me to download/watch it
new banzors in the making :p
