RahXephon - Miracle (first :D)
Well aye, this is my first ever AMV, and my first video made in Vegas as well actually . I know there are some issues, I noticed that after rendering, I must have overlapped a couple of clips accidentally, becuase they were either cut short or gone completely .
It's no technical achievement, I hadn't looked into multiple video tracks at that point, which I have now so I should be able to make them look better with slightly more knowledge now.
Also, I'm sorry for the size, at the time I didn't know about compressing the audio, a handy PM from Scintilla helped that. I'd love to hear your crits, and how I could improve future videos, cheers

Overall, this was a pretty good video for your first AMV. I liked your song choice for this vid.
Some technical issues to point out:
- Video quality could use some work, so I suggest you read the How To Guides on the site on how to clean up your footage, particularly this guide here.
- Also, you should compress your audio into mp3 format, which can help to greatly reduce your file size. A guide on how to do this can be found on the same link above.
Nice job on your first AMV. Keep up the good work.

I quite enjoyed this video, even though there's a lot of flaws in it. But it's really not bad for a first video at all.
Also, kudos on song choice! One of my favourites by Vertical Horizon.
Biggest problems were the visual quality and size, for the quality the size was pretty big, but that's because you didn't compress your audio (as you said).
The quality was quite low and the big black borders around the video were quite offputting, and some scenes had some pretty bad interlacing. But even so everything was visible, you could make everything out, so it's wasn't awful.
Also, how did you get the footage? DVD rip? I'm sure you can find plenty of great guides as to how to improve the quality of your footage easily, they're all over the org.
Only other gripe was the lack of "story" of sorts.. I'm the kind of viewer who looks for a story in a video, and while some parts were pretty concentrated, other parts didn't have any "story" and seemed like random clips. I'm not sure if others think this but the "miracle" seemed to change constantly to all different kinds of things.
But overall, not a bad video, and definately good for a first try your editing seems promising, I'll be looking forward to any future videos.

Thanks for the tips, I've recently noticed how to get rid of the interlacing, and also noticed I was making a PAL video run at 29.97 fps for the AMVTaruto Chan wrote:I quite enjoyed this video, even though there's a lot of flaws in it. But it's really not bad for a first video at all.

I see what you're saying about the lack of story, this was more of an experiment really, I decided on a song, and went to see what I could do in one night, it took 2 hours. I think I'll take my time a little bit more on the next one
Thanks again

I thought this video was good despite its minor video flaws. The file size is a bit large though for something of this quality. I'd recommend buffing up on your encoding abilities before your next AMV. And despite someone saying this didn't have a story I definitely found a few messages hidden in there with the tone of the song, and whether it was intentional or unintentional, I liked it.
