Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I watched the vid too.

The concept is alright, I think Haku's premise as well as Zabusa's fits well with the song (and that I love the song only help :P) but you need to edit it better.
Also, don't use footage with logos in them! Big no no! I mean, Naruto being as popular as it is probably has raws easily accessable (I think so at least.. Not 100 % on it, but it only seems logical). Of course, there is also the choice of buying the anime and use that footage.

Quality needs to improve, as well as not using logos.
Concept was good though, but I advice you to not make Haku vids as there is such a limited footage already. It gets so drawn out with it. It'd be better if you also made the vid about some other couple/character so it can be better edited and all.

thank you for the review, the only thing is you've listed the things im having problems with:

1: i dont know how to remove the logo.
2: i have no clue what sites host the episodes and that they are already in .avi format (most are in realmedia format)
3: i had the dvd for that arc but i needed to use a dvd converter or something and that made no sense.

i have found sites that have raw footage (jap with sub) but its in realmedia format, thats my only problem.

the next AMV i wanted to do with naruto was based on choji and rock lee, hopefully that will come out better.

but if anyone knows of sites that host direct downloads to raw naruto eps (jap with sub) with the files in .avi format, please let me know, because right now im having to use bitlord and its taking an insane amount of time just to get one episode.

We're not allowed to tell of such things other than the legal methods of gainig material.
But I see you have a DVD! Now let's work on that, shall we?

Go here
It's the ultimate guide on how to make a AMV.

Now, for DVD ripping;
First gohere
then here

I know, I know.
Seems like a lot of learning just for making something in your free time, right?
Well, it surely does pay off to know these things!

And doing Chouji and Rock Lee sounds interesitng (they haven't been done to death quite as much. In fact, I have only seen like 5 Chouji vids, to be honest). Good luck with that!

And for other questions, please use that guide! It really does hold all the answers!

Thank you for being so helpful

but here in the UK, we've only got 2 dvd's and the episode list goes up to 26

:\ they're showing episode 50 something on TV atm, but no dvd releases for 27-39

i suppose in the meantime i'll make a yu yu hakusho one or something, i have plenty of anime DVD's for them.

thanks again.

P.S i'll be putting up my next AMV up on here soon, it'd be great if ya'll could review it.

Well, if a lack of DVDs really is the problem and you truly want more DVDs, you could always import from America? Don't know how old you are or if you're allowed to, but that is always an option if your country lacks something other countries have (though then again, I am not that knowledgable about how many Naruto DVDs America has or anything so dont get your hopes up too much :P).

And for the whole not being able to play..what was it? Avi files? Or realmedia?
Have you installed a Realplayer? It makes me able to watch rmvb files. Free too.
For the avi files, I have totally forgotten what to have. :/ *stupid when it comes to things like this*

lol im 17 so age isnt an issue, but i have to pay 30 pounds on ebay for a set of naruto dvd's that only has 30 eps on it e.g.: (30-60)

but all the files i have on naruto at the moment (and i have ALOT) are all realmedia format, so i cant use them in windows movie maker because the files need to be .avi or .mpeg

thing is, there are alot of converters out there that can change the files to .avi, but they require registrations, so if you dont have it registered, the whole thing is converted with their logo over every single frame.
