Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

I love this so much. When I saw this video at Otakon 2009, it was a big inspiration to me to try and get my video into the finalists. Fantastic work, to say the very least. :)

FINALLY

You wouldn't even give this to us at your apt!

One of these days, my video will be in that intro... like it should have been in 2008.

Considering the main source used (Daicon IV), I doubt much more could be done, as far as those sections are concerned. Perhaps the resolution has been limited in order to have a somewhat consistent quality throughout instead of potentially jarring quality jumps?

While the Daicon IV footage is not the best looking footage in the video (to put it lightly) the video that's up for download is one that works best on mobile devices, computers and the web (set to a max file size of 50MB). There will be more encodes soon and versions in different formats. I will update this topic when they are available.

A post-announcement announcement. I have a HQ version of the intro now linked from the video profile found here:

http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... p?v=178164

It's an anamorphic 720x480 copy (654x480 actual) at 5315.38kbit/s. FIlesize of 104MB. This is as good as it's going to get. Thanks for your patience! Also, the video is now up on my YouTube profile: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GH212H2j9U

Feel free to show your support for the intro there! You can also check out some of the Iron Editor intros I've done for AnimeUSA.

Thanks and enjoy!
