  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

This took me twice as long as the actual runtime to watch because it started to majorly lag at the midpoint. o_e I had to pause it for 10 minutes to get a decent 2 minutes done until I had to wait another 10 minutes. -_-'

But, I finished watching it now, thankfully.

This was well done. I think I probably laughed the most at 'Halo' with Halo Legends. :awesome:

It has many good clips but nothing really stands out by now. Meme's are mostly absent compared to the previous editions - not sure if good or bad. I kinda missed a real opening and didn't feel comfortable with the credits when watching them the first time but the song got pretty catchy - not as awesome as the credits from 4 but i like them by now. So in general when not comparing it to previous editions it's a solid work, but one question remains:

WHY?

I mean srsly there was no need for this. You ended things pretty awesome with 4 but now you started it again without really improving. Sure this won't be the last one as you can continue like this forever but i expected more. So thats my whole point.

x2. I'm IN the damn thing and I still feel this way.

I mean, it is nice that you can use the "AMV Hell" name to get big audiences at cons to watch all these (often amusing) little segments that never would have gotten any attention outside of a project like this (you could call it collective bargaining power?) and probably either never would have seen the light of day or would have been relegated to things like credits sequences, but... wasn't 4 enough?

I got about 15 minutes in and it just got tiresome to watch. Gone downhill a bit. :(

Since there will always be new anime, and new AMV editors, I think that it would be nice if AMV Hell always continued. But even with that said, I fully understand that AMV Hell has to end someday, and if it continues for too long, the quality will suffer. So I guess that the real question that I'm asking myself is if I feel that there should be a AMV Hell 6. Reluctantly, I'd say no. But even so, if there ever is a AMV Hell 6, I'd defiantly submit a video for it.

I think that you should watch this till the end. It gets really good towards the middle.

New anime my ass. Everybody's still using the same footage and the same audio from the other ones for half of the same jokes. That's part of the problem. New editors i'll give you - i'll also point out it's the other part of the problem... major talent drain.
