  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Excellent and thought-provoking AMV.

I should note though that it severely triggered my housemate when I showed it to her, so you may want to put some sort of warning on it even though it doesn't have any explicit content per se.

Thanks!
alien762 wrote:A interesting and respectable editing. I like this job and the way that you used the characters...Takumi is perfect for that role :awesome: .
Yes, he was the first person I thought of for the role.

Glad you enjoyed it. How was the audience reaction to it at Anime North?
ibabrak wrote:The editting is simple yet sufficient. I don't think anyone could not understand the story, it is very well told and executed. Good job
Thank you!
DriftRoot wrote:Just so you know, this is now my defining AMV for Madoka.
That's going to make for a strange comparison for most other Madoka amv's :book:
DriftRoot wrote:It's well edited, I love that you took a rather complex, twisted concept that was both like and unlike the series and totally ran with it. Talk about #AMVReview fodder... people can dig as deep into this as they want and probably come up with a lot of logical conclusions you never intended (remember when I did that and you said I was crazy or something? My mental stability aside, there's lots in here to potentially ponder if that's one's schtick, and it's not every AMV that can make that claim!

4/5
No, I didn't say you were crazy, I just said that you were reading far too much into a few little details  . It has been interesting to see the variation in interpretations though. That aside, thank you for all the feedback you gave and Photoshop help.
Emong wrote:I'm Not quite sure what your actual intentions were regarding the story since I don't know whether this is in any way related to Puella Magi Madoka Magica, but I wanted to take it as a kind of "Madoka fans exposed!" shockumentary: it's basically a show about little girls being tormented and providing you hints of fanservice and here. What kind of an audience wouldn't enjoy that?

Nice job!
No, the story of the video isn't particularly tied to the story of the show.
Spoiler :
I guess I could say that I meant the video as a kind of commentary on voyeurism.
BasharOfTheAges wrote:Very interesting (and somewhat creepy) stuff.
You had a very interesting reaction when I first showed it to you.
Amaterasu wrote:Not what I expected at all. I normally hate Madoka videos because of the anime being overused, but I've gotta say that I loved it. Great job.
Believe it or not, someone complaining there were no more new ideas for Madoka videos wound up being a large motivation/inspiration for this.

I am sorry your housemate had such a reaction to it; I hope she's feeling better. Having a warning had been discussed, but it was decided on to not have one.

Not sure if this one's going to be your cup of tea.
