Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

lol I could point out a tone in the top ten percent that uses downloaded footage.. I should just point them out to the mods.. and then I think they'll remove them..
Yeah, but they don't come onto the forums and say "HEY GUESS WAT GUYZ I DOWNLOWDED ALL THESE CLIPZ 4 MY VIDEEOWZ FRUM A SITE I FOUND LOLOLOLOLOLOLL!LL!!!11!1ONE", and they atleast attempt to make it not so painfully obvious.
To be fair, you missed the fact that minalei didn't say where he/she had obtained the clips until someone asked. That's the exact way anyone in his/her position would have reacted - even those folks on the top ten percent.

And Prod... they're ethics - not rules. Treat them as such and label them properly.

I figure a mod will be along shortly, so he or she can correct me if I am wrong, but using another's editing in your video is definitely against the rules. If it's obvious the OP used Aluminum Studio's stuff, I'm pretty sure that is not allowed.

How do you know that? I, for one, know I certainly wouldn't. Discussing the use of downloaded footage on the forums is against the rules, period, and therefore doing this is in violation of the rules.

And yeah, using footage from other people's videos is against the rules, as has been proven by videos that have been deleted because of it when reported.
