Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

Of the two Mind Games vids I saw, this one makes more sense, I think. Good stuff.

Cool stuff, and I liked your use of the masks. Definitely a different kind of video, but a good one nonetheless. Nice job :)

Finally. :) /me gets

Since there's an edit button now constructive stuff comes later. ;)

Edit:

Well it's still the same impression I got when I first saw this video, since it's maybe the only Mind Game video (besides IS') that I know: It's damn unique. I love the masks and the calm storytelling. :)

And to back up Stephan: release your Pale Cocoon video ... but fill the blackspace ;).

Wow!

Ps
Is it me or are the Dutch getting into/better at music videos?

And I'll at least give you that. As for my comments at Acon, I thought I already spoke my mind about things. If not then I think it showed potential and was very artistic. And just look at it like this. If I didn't like your work, I wouldn't have bin such a *cough* nice guy *cough*. I have high expectations of you my friend. Now I got to find a way to remember your name... I couldn't even pronounce it on stage for christ sake.
Thanks for the comments! I was kinda wondering what you meant with giving me attention, but I checked the link, so thanks for pimping my AMV! Okay, maybe you're not that famous. but you're probably one of the more known editors - I mean - everybody who gets at least 4 pages at an AMV-announcement has to be well-known in the AMV-community!

So you were being a nice guy to me all the time? My name is in the profile I think, so you can already practise for when you see me next time (not as if you're ever going to call me by my last name though!).

As for high expectations - well, I don't know, but I do have some (I hope) original concepts coming up!

Ahh.. from my rival Mind-Game AMV! Good to hear people watched the anime and thought it was nice enough to make an AMV out of it! Nice job making the AMV fun (I wasn't very fond of the colored borders though)!

Thanks! I hope you could see some sort of story behind it!

Thanks! Even if the different was a bad thing I would already be glad to hear I succeeded in doing something different! Masks... what masks do you exactly mean? ;) I love how a lot of people say this!

Thanks! Felt like Abunai was more than a few months ago though! YOKO is coming up the 17th, as my 3rd release this month. I'm going to release ALICE - my second AMV - this weekend (even though that one isn't that special).

Waiting for the comments! But thanks for the comments in the Animecon board though! Yeah, I know you wanted to see it again since, but I'm kinda slow with releasing Better late than never, right? ;)

:?: If you didn't "get" the AMV then I probably failed as an editor...

Thanks! (<-alle replies beginnen hetzelfde bij mij!) Yeah, the lipsync sucked (the unintentional one was better than the intentional one) but I already knew that. See the page I created for it: http://www.leiseus.net/steadiermind - it might be an interesting read for you. It's too bad I had a deadline for Animecon and ran out of footage, because if I didn't I would've done things better.

I would care for an opinion exchange (cause I liked your style and thoughts behind editing, your AMV was quite nice BTW.!) - you're in? Why didn't you send your AMV in for Abunai?

PS. Oh, I'm Asian, so technically I'm not Dutch, but lived in Amsterdam all my life though!

You read my mind, I was going to suggest the same thing. And to why I didn't enter the contest. I don't know really, probably because I didn't feel like it, just got into editing and didn't really think I was good enough, plus the fact that I'm not happy with it, the ending is rushed and quality sucks.

Similar here, I'm actually British, but born and raised in the Netherlands.

*hands tissue* Don't get me wrong it's well put together, I didn't not like it, but I'm not really sure if I do like it. *sits back on fence*
I know I did like the black curtain pulling off the screen and that I wish I could do the effects you did
I could just be a bit slow... (brain is quite overloaded, adobe is messing with my head!) and it hasn't really sunk in yet.

Oooh, I can't believe I forgot to post back. I must say, you actually were able to turn Mind Game footage actually semi-sensical. There's a definite story drive there that is clear enough, and the imagery and great overlaying did well to push ahead your theme.
