Forum rules
Please observe the following unique rules for this forum:
  • Please limit your new threads (not replies) to one per week. If you have several new videos to announce, create one thread for all the videos. (Note: if you forget one you can edit your post!)
  • Offsite links are allowed, but you are required to have a catalog entry for that video as well. Threads announcing videos that do not contain a catalog entry will be moved to the Awaiting Catalog Entry sub-forum and will be deleted in 2 weeks if an entry is not created.
  • When posting announcements, it is recommended that you include links to the catalog entries (using the video ID) in your post.
  • Videos that do not contain anime are allowed to be announced in the Other Videos section and are not required to have catalog entries.

3/5. not bad
Oh man, adding effects would improve any video right? Guitar doesn't mean grain, guitar means synch.

another EOE video.... nothing interesting or original.....
you better use something new (source, music).

3/5
I'd take your opinion more seriously if it wasn't for these facts, this song hasn't been used before and in that way is as original as NIN can get. I edited this completely different than I have edited many other of my videos. Coming from a guy who's last two videos have songs that have been used over 20 times, doesn't really hold much weight.

To everyone else thanks for your comments, I don't expect everyone to enjoy this video but thats because if it doesn't have gimmicks more than half the people on the org won't like it.

I mean God Forbid I actually synch the scenes. Sorry I don't want to use effects to synch.

Let's be honest here - I could blindfold myself and throw a rock and hit an EoE video that focuses on Shinji's mental problems. Just because you use a song that's never been used before does not make a video original, because conceptually this is nothing new, at all. The editing style was somewhat unique, though you probably could have tightened the sync a little more. I give it 4/5 stars for good measure.

Oh I'm not contesting that my concept isn't original, I'm just pointing out that he really has no room to talk about originality. Concept yes, but he didn't specify which part of the video he was referring to.

Learn to take statements that don't specify what is wrong with a video? If that is criticism maybe they need to revise the etiquette rules for AMV Announcements.
