sorry, I just couldn't get into it.

When I downloaded it and started to watch..I was able to watch around 30 secs, then I got bored and deleted it.

Now I just took it back again out of my recycle bin to see if I might miss something hawt thats deeper in the vid, so I started watching again.

This Time I was able to get around the 3 Minute mark, but When I started to yawn and felt I got bored (and understand there wouldnt rly be anything more than what i already saw), I stopped and threw the file back in the recyle bin.

Myaaah figures you release this while I'm at home. The song is pretty kickass, so it'll be cool to see what you did with it. I'll be checking it out once I get back to school, or better yet, you can show me on Saturday. \o/

Didn't like the latest IM album.
Now for your video. Some interesting sync and editing but it was a bit boring. Blame the song. The scenes you chose didn't have the impact they usually have because of the music.

Okay, holy crap the beginning of this kicked ass. From the start, you seemed to establish that the video wasn't going to have Ileia's sync and pace, but make up for it with ridiculous scene selection. And that's just what I love. The problem is, you didn't quite keep up that promise throughout. You had other parts just as kick-ass, but it seemed like those mostly occurred at particular, unique moments of the song.

The verses, when using the normal beat, weren't really matched with very compelling scene selection or sync, so that kinda took me out of it. The choruses, however, had the mood down great, and it looked like you were more confortable with those.

Simple, yet excellent effects as well. Makes me wish there were a bit more of them.

Overall, I enjoyed this alot  (Though it's still probably gonna end up playing second fiddle to Don't Break in my playlist)

Ileia wrote:Buddy, don't make me out like I'm trying to keep you down! Not like I'm the only person to ever make an Animatrix video or that I think mine is the best. SO THERE.

(will comment further after download)

Good job, Cracklins, rap..uh..stuff is always fun to edit with, isn't it? (and Animatrix is god for internal sync to pretty much ANYTHING, so that makes it all the more fun  )
I know, I just knew when I released this that a bunch of people probably would have said I was copying you or something...which isn't *exactly* true, though I'd be lying if I said Don't Break didn't influence this video in some ways.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it! And yeah, it was hella fun to make
Emong wrote:EDIT: Well.. That was interesting. Just as Ileia said, internal sync for the win. I had hard time liking the song (rap doesn't get me.. uh..) but your clip selections were interesting, even if there wasn't a solid concept behind it. It looked like.. twisted?
Yeah, that was kinda what I was going for. When I decided to make this I was in a pretty bad mood, so that was one of the driving forces behind the video :P But yeah, glad you liked it!
Warheart wrote:Haha, nice one. Nothing fancy but still a good proof that you can create an interesting video without much effects like Tormentor said sitting next to me this morning. I liked the internal sync as well. I guess I'll watch it from time to time. :)
Thanks for checking it our Warheart! Glad you enjoyed it!
Ingow wrote: I always had this idea of Samurai Champloo as anime in my head though, but now I know that Animatrix works just as well, good stuff Thumbs up I especially like the intro with the CrackTheSky text
Hehe, thanks \o/ I'm a fan of the text too.
omegaevolution wrote:EDIT: hahaha now this is the stuff I preffer to watch more :3, I'm not to fond to this kind of songs but I liked it. Editing was very good, still I would have liked to see more internal synch or more beat synch lol. But this has to be one of my favs from you, loved how you used the footage in general :)
MORE internal sync? x_X

...:P

Yeah, I thought you'd enjoy this more than my usual stuff. It seems most people don't seem to like the song...and when it comes to that, may I quote Ingow:
Ingow wrote:and bah @ all the rap haters, this isn't even all that much rap.... =\
But thanks for watching omega!

That's weird, because in my opinion the verses (at least the first one) are much better than the choruses. But to each his own, I guess. Thanks for checking it out
